One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Wonderful staff, good food, decent drinks selection in the all-inclusive package, well-appointed suites with big rooms, excellent aircon, huge bathroom with very good shower. The owner himself actually pitches up at the weekly cocktail party, so you have a perfect opportunity to let him know of any issues (we didn’t have any). Non-powered water sports are included, and there’s good availability of a wide range of kit. Decent mini-bar, again all included, canapés brought to the room every evening. You can have breakfast on your verandah if you so choose. We had the best time, and are genuinely planning to return. It really is that good.

This was our fourth stay at this wonderful well-run family hotel with brilliant staff. We did however have one minor issue with someone trying to get into our room at 4 am. My wife was awake and clearly heard the door handle click. She shouted who is there. I got up and looked around but could not see anyone . Mentioning this the following day we were told that it was someone from security. It was very unnerving and we asked to be moved at our expense to a room we felt was safer. We had not had this issue before and were a little surprised in the way it was dealt with. It did not seem to be taken seriously . Our other minor grumble is that the owners are very visible eating in one of the restaurant most days. The previous year we had been very warmly greeted on our arrival by them and also they took the trouble to say goodbye to us when we left. We even discovered we had mutual friends in Norwich . This year we were not spoken to and just felt it rather strange after a 10 day stay. Not sure why? On a more positive note, the staff are brilliant and the food is exceptional, though the wine list could perhaps be better? Would we go back again? Yes we would!

From the moment we arrived and we were greeted by the fabulous Reagan to the minute we left nothing was too much trouble for all the amazing members of staff at Calabash, they really make you feel welcome and the level of service from everyone is second to none. There is a real air of calm at this hotel, the gardens are pristine and the beach is so peaceful, on the couple of days we did venture out we were always happy to return to the calm surroundings. We stayed on a half board basis and really could not have eaten anymore if we had wanted too, the breakfast on our patio everyday was a real treat and the evening meals at Rhodes were always beautifully presented and delicious. Our room was modern and had everything you could possibly want in it, there really is so much attention to detail and thoughtful items in the rooms, and was always kept spotless. We have been lucky enough to visit alot of Caribbean Islands and stayed in many hotels and have never returned anywhere as we like to try different places but here is somewhere we have seriously already discussed returning to. Calabash Grenada is pure barefoot luxury—the perfect place to unwind and truly relax. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome, with service that was genuinely top-notch. They took care of every detail, making my stay unforgettable. It’s the ideal spot to just kick back, read a book on the beach, and let the world fade away. As someone who loves good food, I have to say the dining experience was fantastic. Every meal was delicious and full of flavor, and the cocktails were just as amazing—perfect for sipping while watching the sunset. The spa was another highlight. The treatments were professional and made me feel so comfortable and relaxed. I left feeling completely rejuvenated. Calabash Grenada is a true slice of paradise, combining luxury, relaxation, and world-class service. I’m already looking forward to my next visit!

Nous sommes arrivés pour la première fois à Grenade au Calabash, et avons été séduits dès l’arrivée par le charme de cet hôtel. La grande pelouse avec ces arbustes aux fleurs éclatantes, les bungalows avec une jolie vue sur la mer, la petite plage au sable clair, au bord de l’anse animée de bateaux, le restaurant Beach club avec sa vue parfaite pour le petit déjeuner… la pergola qui recouvre le restaurant Rhodes est fleurie de grandes grappes de fleurs blanches étonnantes, ravissantes. Un iguane vert se promène parfois en mangeant les fleurs, des colibris butinent dans les massifs… le jardin est très bien entretenu, la plage balayée le matin, il y a toujours beaucoup de transats libres quand vous arrivez à la plage… Le soir, piano ou saxophone donnent une ambiance chaleureuse au dîner. Et puis, le personnel est très souriant, serviable. Il y’a beaucoup de petites attentions qui font luxe: une bouteille de rhum offerte à l’arrivée, avec des cookies dans la chambre, on vous apporte des verres de jus de fruit quand vous êtes allongés sur les transats au bord de la mer, des bouchées apéritives dans votre chambre à 18h, pour accompagner votre rhum…. Tout ça contribue a l’impression d’être reçus et gâtés. Je vais tout de même trouver un défaut pour être crédible: il n’y a pas de prise pour le sèche cheveux dans la salle de bain…

Yet another excellent holiday - 33 years now since we first visited and still love the hotel as much as ever. As soon as we arrived, we received that special Calabash warm welcome and that friendliness from everyone at Calabash never ceased from start to finish. As ever lovely to recognise so many staff who have been there many years. Our room - de luxe suite was excellent , well equipped and positioned and kept so spotless by the lovely housekeeping team. We were also joined by our daughter at short notice ( thanks Adele for fitting her in and for such a lovely room) for our last week and she found it a very relaxing break. We always love the cocktails and canapes - the start to a lovely evening and thanks to the team who always kept an eye out for when we returned from the gym. The gym, incidentally, is one of the best equipped of the many hotel gyms we have experienced - spacious and very well equipped . The Rhodes Restaurant is still a great example of what a top restaurant should be. The ambience is special, the menu is excellent , especially with the daily specials and the service is very professional and yet lightly informal at the same time. A very strong professional team led by Michael and SherLyn with George who always seems to know what you want to drink before you do! We also enjoyed Nori which we visited twice and thoroughly enjoyed The Beach Club restaurant is equally good , the setting is great and again service is very good led by Desiann and all the excellent staff .We love the beach bar which is still such a lovely hub, especially after an energetic game of shuffleboard! Thanks to Leslie Ann , Mickey and the team for looking after us so well at the beach and the bar. The beach team were excellent , always on hand to set up your favourite spot on the beach and frequent soft drinks and also the occasional sail and more frequent kayak stand up board trips. This year we enjoyed the aqua aerobics twice a week and also the yoga and Pilates. A very professional team at reception , never ceasing to smile and always ready to help. Not forgetting the garden and maintenance who were always smiling and keeping the grounds and resort in excellent condition.The garden tour was very informative The dive team continue to provide some great dives and snorkelling together with the various watersports available. Even managed to fit in spa treatments which were excellent. We enjoyed the varied entertainment every evening and particularly the steel band who were excellent.It was also great to see Barracuda again with his unique music. For us what continues to make Calabash so enjoyable and one of the best hotels we stay at ( and why they win so many awards ) is the attention to detail and professionalism and friendliness of ALL the staff . So, many thanks to Adele , Leo and Lillian for making it all happen through their wonderful staff. We can't wait to see you all again before too long and especially seeing the new rooms-
