"First of all: there is no a/c. It was hot and stuffy at night, despite two big ceiling fans. During the day, with doors and shutters open, it was actually breezy and pleasant, as the hotel is right on the water. The other downside is the dim lighting in the rooms, which made it hard for me (older person with older eyesight) to find stuff in my suitcase. Again, not a problem during the day with shutters open. But if you are okay without a/c, this is a lovely hotel. My room had a private courtyard which led out to the small but charming swimming pool. Esther, the manager, was super helpful about arranging a guide for the Old Town, a water taxi for an expedition to a different part of the island, etc. There is a good restaurant, and breakfast is part of the deal (very slow service). I enjoyed the mix of travelers from many different parts of the world, including African tourists."

"Stayed at JamboHouse for 3 nights. Was picked up at the airport which made it super easy to catch a boat to Lamu! Greeted by Arnold who told me in detail about the range of tours, restaurants and areas to visit on Lamu which was very useful! The rooms were basic but clean with a safe box and two fans. Very comfortable to stay in and great location if you want to stay in Old town Lamu :) the outdoor seating area was lovely and clean Breakfast was great with juice, fruit, tea, coffee and a variety of eggs and toast. Went on the sunset walk with Zion the guide and it was lovely! Tried some coconut wine at the locals bar in the village on the way to the sand dunes and saw a lovely sunset. Would recommend to friends and family "

"設施：非常復古，沒是用老式子彈鎖頭，有很多斯瓦西里文化的木雕，窗藝等。泳池水非常乾淨，內部也很多地方能出好的照片。 免費來回機場接送: Lamu House 距離機場非常近，到了之後有專人迎接，主要是歐美遊客為主。 環境：蒙巴薩地區都是極度炎熱，可是房間裏沒有安排空調，開窗外面的船聲音很吵，有點小遺憾。 服務：酒店可以找當地的船東包船，夜遊看星及日落兩次留下很深的印象。大概是15000肯先令/船"

"Amazing place to stay in Lamu! The rooms are big and very clean, the public sitting areas are beautiful and perfect to enjoy the cool breeze at the evening overlooking the town. The breakfast ist superb and sufficient - every day fresh fruits, juices and pancakes or omeletts. All the things worth seeing in Lamu as well as all the shops are in walking distance. For me most importanly: I really loved the spirit of this place! The best of all is the Host - he helps amazingly friendly with everything: booking trips, explaining ways to go to the beaches and information over the prises, pcr tests, booking flights, exchanging money, just everything! He organises free of cost pick up from the airport. He also gives a lot of useful information over all the good and important restaurants and cafes in Lamu with tips where they serve alcohol and where you can enjoy a vegetarian meal."
