Check-in: 2/5 I booked the Executive Spa Suite for me, my wife and young daughter. During check-in, I was informed by the receptionist that the Executive Spa Suite is not available for children due to OHS regulations. She was not sure of how this slipped through the booking. To my surprise (!!), even now, I can book the Executive Spa Suite including a child as guest even now through various booking sites. I booked considering that this would give experience for my kid with a spa!! I was offered the family room. This room comes with a good view of the jetty. That’s all! Room facilities: 3/5 The family room is a very ordinary room consisting of a king bed and a single bed, basic facilities and a simple bath with a shower and a toilet. The beds were comfortable. Air conditioning was good. Not all lights were working. The sliding window was so tight to open as it has not been maintained well for usage. There is a door on the sharing wall with the adjacent room. Though it is locked, it is not sound proof. The bath is old fashioned and is especially not supportive for small kids as there is no hand shower and they need assistance or they would get wet every time. The bath exhaust was physically present but was not working and was not connected to any mains. Room maintenance: 1/5 There were old stains on the carpet at a couple of places – pretty much visible. When the bed was moved, there was some leftover food particles of the earlier occupants of the room. The reception was not available all the time, and you have to ring a 03** number. I am not sure if this is because of Christmas but this was not comfortable. Also, I left the sign to make-up my room on day 2 at around 9.15 am. I returned around 5 pm, and no cleaning was done. I was so exhausted that I stayed there in the same state. Common facilities: 2/5 A swimming pool, spa and barbecue was available for use. I thought of using the spa but to my frustration, there was a large group that occupied the spa for most of the time in the evening, and with the reception not available to discuss on the situation, I had to skip it. The swimming pool was small but maintained okay. The restaurant “Albert & Co” was closed for Christmas all through my stay, and would have appreciated a communication from the management to the guests ahead of time on the planned closure. Location: 4/5 Just on the Esplanade, and close to most facilities. The bright thing of all! Check-out: 5/5 The best thing, as it did not take even a minute. Just handed over the keys to the receptionist and we were done! Overall experience: 2/5 If the property is planned not to have all the facilities available during the guest’s stay or if there is change to the booking from the management side, I would have appreciated a communication ahead of time, and not when I am left stuck with no other option.

Price was very reasonable, location excellent and the room and facilities were great and spotless ( even had decent wine glasses and coffee mugs). Manager/owner? was helpful. Room was larger than most at this price. Balcony (on our room ) had some views. Pub was only 100 metres away where we had a nice meal. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so Much Jack! Beautiful property, so relaxing. You have a rustic Australian gem. We loved our stay and your hospitality was amazing. Feeding the birds and possums was very nice. You work so hard - it will be an even more beautiful spot in the coming years. I loved hearing about your plans for the place. Property was clean, warm and bed was comfy. Felt like we were in the bush. Fireplace was very clean and so warm. There are so many places to sit and relax take in all the frogs, birds and rustling of the trees. We left so relaxed. Thank you!
