Everything advertised for the property was pretty much a lie. The pool is under construction half of the property was under construction and multiple utilities did not work. The rooms have no closets even in a room for four people, and there is no restaurant only ordering from a different area shipped over for appetizers. Multiple times the staff told kids they could not run around in the building also even though it’s advertised as a family hotel. I would not suggest us as a top option for a hotel in Lake Placid.

Very Disappointing Our overall stay was honestly horrible and we left 2 nights early! The ceilings in the hallways were collapsing with buckets catching water, sometimes over flowing. The pool was closed, and had been for quite some time. The bar was not open during the posted hours and there was no hot to order breakfast as stated online. Our 'mountain view' was no view at all, as the windows were covered with a frosted cover. At night it sounded like there were animals digging outside the windows. There was also a lot of snow coming down and the parking lot was never plowed. People were getting stuck or shoveling themselves out, while other lots around were cleared and accessible. When trying to talk to staff about our concerns we were met with disappointment or rudeness. I was excited to stay in this hotel as it looked very inviting and had amenities we were looking forward to. We were extremely disappointed!

Horrible service and management. We arrived to non working pool, were given free breakfast voucher for the next day but there was no breakfast being served the next day. Asked for the refund for the outside breakfast, was told it will be processed and shockingly it never was. The heaters in the rooms are super loud and if the hotel happens to actually serve breakfast it’s pretty awful. Don’t get fooled by the pretty pictures.

The location to Main Street is great for walking to dinner, shops, and seeing the Olympic hockey venue - even in the snow! There is also a shuttle stop right outside that takes you to Whiteface Mountain for skiing. The rooms were very comfortable and the view of the lake was spectacular. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the entire experience of the hotel and especially the city of Lake Placid.

Stay in Lake Placid Bluebird is a fantastically located in Lake Placid. We had a great view of Mirror Lake and the surrounding mountains. Hotel has recently received a makeover and the Nordic style is very nice. Room was spacious with a separate seating space. Bathroom was clean and nicely set up Parking was at a premium so if arriving late you may not get a spot at the hotel.

Comfort and modern design The Bluebird Hotel offers a charming stay with a great location near Mirror Lake and Main Street. We appreciated the comfy, modern design and spacious rooms, which blend rustic and contemporary styles. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the lobby lovely.
