阿爾特納哈拉飯店(Altnaharra Hotel)

Das Hotel befindet sich in einem alten Landhaus und liegt einsam mitten in den Highlands in der Natur und strahlt einen entsprechenden Charme aus. Innen gibt es großzügige Lounges mit Kaminen und einer gut sortierten Whiskybar. Die Küche ist sehr gut und bietet eine tolle, abwechslungsreiche Auswahl. Die Zimmer sind groß und komfortabel. Leider nagt der Zahn Zeit am Anwesen, hier wären Investitionen zur Instandhaltung dringend notwendig, das zeigt sich beim genauen Hinsehen (Fenster, Vorhänge, etc.).

The hotel is situated in a beautiful remote setting - deer grazing 10 feet from the back door. The food was excellent & varied with a wide choice of hearty dishes for hillwalkers! All the staff were very friendly & helpful. It’s a great place to access a very beautiful area with Munros, amazing sea lochs & beaches too. We couldn’t get to Cape Wrath & managed to miss trips (our fault!) to Smoo caves & Handa Island but Ben Hope & Ben Klibreck were magnificent in the sun.

Stopped off for a coffee. The staff here were friendly and soon had us both with nice pots of coffee. A great atmosphere in this place, it's like stepping back in time. Like wandering around a living museum. There's plenty of photos and records of the sporting achievements of yester year. We won't leave it so long till our next visit.

Just had one night at this hotel and have to say not too impressed as was quite scruffy and dated, needs a complete refurbished in our opinion. Room was cold and struggled to get any life out of the heater! Food was ok for dinner & breakfast but on the whole thought the stay was overpriced.

On arrival at the hotel, no one answered the bell. Wanted through and after a few minutes a member of staff arrived but couldn't book us in. A man came, not exactly welcoming. Showed us to our room. No pillowcases on bed but did arrive. Nowhere to place toiletries in the bathroom except floor. Went to dinner. Waitress with a lack of understanding and no personality. Dinner ordered and was superb although service was lacking. The hotel itself was very tired looking. Armchairs were worn. Bathroom needed grouting renewed etc. Breakfast ok but no attention from waitress. Overpriced for b&b at £145. Our dinner was priced ok.

Stayed for 2 nights as a base for the Northern leg of our driving holiday. Superb food. Friendly staff. Friendly owner. You do need to take your own atmosphere as it is a little quiet but that suited us.

Enjoyed our stay at this characterful and historic hotel. The staff were brilliant and very welcoming. The food was excellent and there are plenty of lounge areas to sit by the fire. A lovely find on our journey through the Scottish Highlands.

Nice hotel, average room but one I had was way overpriced as quite small, average furniture and arrangement not brilliant, couldn’t use desk as awkward access and small tv sitting on it at a funny angle. Damp musty smell in room. Food nice but not anything special again based on price paid. Wine extremely expensive (£14 glass) for a normal Malbec and large measure provided was what would expect for a normal measure. Nice staff serving on but all appeared to be novices and not yet fully trained so service not wonderful.
