阿魯甘拜阿普羅塔別墅(Aprota Villas Arugambay)

Don’t reserve this place! It’s a real fraud! They sell it as beachfront hotel, while it’s 2 km away from the beach! It’s maybe sea view but not beach front in any way. Besides it’s super far from Arugambay. Isolated with nothing to do there. Just do yourself a favor - don’t go there. Or if you reserved - cancel! And do it in advance because we understood that it’s a trap only upon arrival there, and asked to leave immediately. They gave us only 50% back. And that was also only after we went to the tourist police. We lost 900$ ! Terrible place.

We had a horrible experience at this hotel. The price is extremely expensive for very poor services. The hotel is very dirty, with a lot of trash all around the property (empty bottles and beer cans, papers, dirty dishcloths, etc.), the pool bar is always closed and extremely dirty. We paid for a sea view room but no room has actually a sea view. There is no intimacy in your private swimming pool: the staff is passing by and looking at you. A lot of things were broken in the room (bathtub, hairdryer, TV, AC very noisy). The food is horrible, all frozen and very bad quality whereas it is supposed to be a 5 stars hotel. Only 1 cocktail was available on the 20+ cocktail list. We were served coke from a 2 liters bottle, not from a personal small bottle or can - this is very unhygienic, and should not happen, not in a 5 stars hotel but neither in a low standing hotel. Staff barely speaks English. The hotel is empty, the a**osphere is very weird, there were 10+ staff working for only 2 families in a giant hotel. I could keep going as we had the worst experience ever, but as a conclusion, absolutely avoid going there ! On our hand, we were supposed to stay 3 nights but decided to leave the hotel after 1 night.

The worst nigh**are! The place is rundown, not maintained and run by the rude and unprofessional staff. The manager locked the gate and held us captive demanding to pay for the services and food we didn’t order, the security guard violently pushed me and we had to call for policy for rescue. The staff is untrained and barely speaks English, WIF barely works, the room had mold, floor boards were lifted up because of damp, the nails are sticking out on the floor and my dad damaged his foot, manager refused to provide free water for our 2 year old, saying that they only provide water for 2 people in double rooms (they only provide 0.5 litres per person per day) and the list goes on. And all this at a very high cost per room.

We came here with my girlfriend and we are very happy that we chose that hotel. It’s 10 min from Arugambay. Food here is also very delicious and of course service it’s very excellent. We have wild beach 100m from hotel and it’s look nice. Definitely I would chose this hotel second time.

Just wanted to thank the GM and the staff for a fantastic stay at the new management run Aprota Villa. Thank you for the meals served for the kids specially for them. The pool staff were great and helpful. Rooms are cleaned always. Thank you again.

Aprota Villas is a lovely property. It's quiet and there's ample room for everyone to be around without running into others at all times. Our stay was two nights and we were looked after well by the staff. Special mention of Rukmal from the kitchen, Sujan at F&B and Malinda at Housekeeping. Quite an extensive a la carte menu and tasty food. Rooms cleaned at regular intervals and turn-down service. Pool is fabulous as well as the bar menu. Cannot wait to be back. Aprota Villas is a luxury resort located on a beautifully landscaped beachfront in Pottuvil.. This is the most serene, and exquisitely built property. Spaciously laid out, with incredibly comfortable spacious large including plunge pools, placed amongst greenery coconut plantations. We stayed here for two nights in February 2024 and had a fantastic time altogether. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, and everyone from the front desk to the various sections is really nice and attentive. We were wonderfully taken care of from the minute we entered the building until we left. Throughout our stay, ......... and ........... ensured that we were having fun and were constantly eager to learn what might be done to improve things. The food was just fantastic, and the service was excellent. There was a broad choice of options from an a la carte menu. and I'd like to thank the entire team for making our stay at Aprota Villas so unforgettable . It was really great our stay here. Staff were so pleasant. My parents speak only Russian language and staff only English so they help communicate with google translate they were so helpful for us. We were so happy. Also celebrated here Birthday and Valentine day. We have unforgettable memories. Food was delicious, and room clean. We rate our stay here only high rates.

Pretty boutique hotel in east coast. We've stayed 2 nights in the Garden Bungalow with plunge pool, rooms are nice and chill. The hotel situated in a village facing the ocean, where the surroundings are very rural and quite. Feb is not a busy season there, no disturb at all, and get the chance for stargaze in the night. 20min drive to Arugambay Town, as we go for self drive so no probs at all. Food is fairly ok since we only had breakfast. Did our Kumana National Park Safari during our stay. Didn't spend much time for beach though.
