Haks Boutique B&B with Pool & Farm-to-Table Dining

Un séjour inoubliable : - excellent accueil de Simon et Itisha, très attentifs a nos demandes - petit déjeuner et dîner fantastiques en qualité et originalité. A ne manquer sous aucun prétexte - belle maison avec jardin tropical très bien entretenu (arbres et fleurs), terrasses et pièces communes parfaites pour se reprendre des forces après les visites - jolie petite piscine très agréable - Simon organise des sorties a la journée ou plus avec son agence Bike and Tours dans tout le Sabah (Danum Valley toute proche, et en particulier dans le site de reforestation de Bukit Piton ou l'on peut voir des orang outan - Simon nous a fait visiter son exploitation bio ou le café, les ananas, la vanille ... et eds dizaines d'autres plantes poussent à l'ombre des palmiers et autres arbres. Très intéressant de voir une autre façon de produire que l'agriculture intensive - le plus : le café à boire et acheter élaboré par Simon à partir de ses propres cafeiers - facile d'accès : 1 km de l'aéroport

What a find! We just needed a place to stay in Lahad Datu before going for the Rainforest, but the ambience and delicious purple (? don't ask) drink we got upon entering immediately indicated that we had signed up something really nice. Our hosts starting this place about a year ago, and it is clearly a success. They are wonderful hospitable people. The food is outstanding and their restaurant seems to be a local hit. The rooms were comfortable with the usual oddities expected in a homestay place. What more could you ask!

Our flight from Lahad Datu to KK was cancelled and I had to find quickly a place to stay. We were very fortunate to get the last room from Hak’s B&B and ended up with a lovely experience and the best dinner in the whole 2 weeks Borneo trip! People were really nice, welcoming drinks beautiful and tasty, the deluxe room with bathroom very clean and comfortable (except the bed was bit on the hard side for our old bones) and dinner and breakfast excellent. The house is beautiful, nice terrace on the second floor where we enjoyed some tea and a nice garden with a small pool to have a dip. I would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a place to stay in Lahad Datu. Thank you Simon and everyone!!
