We had a fantastic stay at this property! The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and as described. The location was perfect—a few minutes walk to all the shops, restaurants and bars that you could need, yet very peaceful and out of the noise for a relaxing getaway. The pool and rooftop terrace were the highlights of our stay. We would highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Lagos

Our 4th visit to Baluarte and it’s as good as ever. In a quiet spot at the top of the old town it’s scrupulously clean and elegantly furnished with lovely staff and well equipped apartments. A firm favourite and great value for money. We will be back !

Direi più che consigliato. È vicino al centro di Lagos ed hai a disposizione tutto quello che desideri. Il nostro appartamento era a due piani di fronte alla piscina. Puoi vedere anche l'oceano. Lo staff è eccezionale. Un grazie speciale a Eva per tutte le richieste che le abbiamo fatto (molte delle quali impossible da accontentare ma lei ci ha provato sempre). Grazie anche a Jessica per la gentilezza e la cortesia. L'appartamento è pulito e puliscono ogni giorno. Prezzi più che adeguati Se vuoi puoi fare anche la colazione ma che non abbiamo usufruito. Unica piccolissimo difetto: la porta era difficile da aprire...ma per il resto tutto così perfetto! Noi lo consigliamo!

Apartment was old, dingy and dirty. There was a no elevator so you have to carry luggage up and down stairs. The receptionist did not help with a single bad as she led us to the room. The only window is the door to the balcony, which is right in the pool area, no privacy at all. The rug is old and dirty, the hand sprayer wouldn’t turn off in the shower. They didn’t provide soap or body wash, just shampoo. Every light is a hideous fluorescent energy saver bulb. There is no phone to call the front desk, but there’s no one there anyway. They have an app, which allows for service requests, but every time I tried to submit anything it gave me a data error. The “sea view” that we paid extra for is only good for someone 6’ 4” or taller that can see the little sliver of blue over the wall.

If you can book the ocean view apartments do it, the roof top terrace view is mind blowing, we booked here thinking there would be a glimpse of the sea from a small balcony, but the apartments have not one but two seating areas on the terrace. With its proximity to the old town but with some separation in a quiet residential area, this apartment complex is amazing.

We stayed in a one bedroom with terrace and it was wonderful! First of all, there was only two of us, but we felt that we had tons of room and enjoyed having the multi-level apartment. The terrace and rooftop were absolutely incredible. Gorgeous view and perfect place to enjoy a glass of wine and happy hour. Jessica (staff member) was so wonderful and provided excellent recommendations for dinners and gave us directions everywhere. The location was fabulous in a quiet area in old town. The value is outstanding for the price and what you get for this incredible place. We loved this place. Our only "negative" was that the bottom floor of the apartment had a moldy smell-- and we needed to really air the place out every day. I'm sure this is an issue in this area of Portugal, but that's something that could use some attention.
