Accommodation:
Main House – 2 bedrooms with king-size beds, ensuite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, indoor fireplace, eco pool, laundry, free Wi-Fi, and parking.
The Barns – 2 ensuite rooms with mountain views and modern finishes.
Perfect for couples, families, or groups seeking nature and tranquility.
The space
In addition, there are also 2 Barns, each fitted with a king size XL bed, en-suite with a shower. Each barn sleeps 2 people
Should there be more than 4 people and no more than 8 people.
Each barn has its own rate.
Please make a enquiry should you be interested in booking the barns along with the Main House.
Additional Rules
1. BOOKING: -
Should you, wish to cancel your booking for a valid unforeseen reason after deposit has been paid, we will make every effort to re-let the accommodation for the period booked. If successful we will refund your deposit less a 25% handling fee, however if we are unable to re-let the accommodation, the cancellation condition policy shall apply as set out herein.
2. PHOTO/STILLS & FILM SHOOTS: -
a) Different rates apply to events, photo/stills and film shoots - on request only.
3. CANCELLATION POLICY: -
a) 15 days or more prior to arrival forfeits 75% of the deposit payment.
b) 0 to 14 days prior to arrival forfeits 100% of the total accommodation payment.
4. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE: -
a) The accommodation is available from 14h00 on the day of arrival. Guests are to confirm their estimated time of arrival.
b) On arrival, guests are to meet the host and register. Should you wish to arrive later than 17h00; prior arrangements need to be made.
c) The host will meet you at the house for a short tour and key handover.
d) Once the keys have been handed over guests may come and go as they please.
e) You will find a selection of attractions, activities, services and facilities within the surrounding areas, which are detailed in our guest instruction manual.
f) The accommodation must be vacated by 10h00 on the day of departure.
g) A late check-out is subject to availability and can only be confirmed on-site on the day of departure. Should you wish to guarantee a late check-out, you would be required to book an additional night.
h) Guests shall be held liable for any incidents at the property should the keys not be strictly handed over to the property manager or host.
i) On departure, please ensure that the house is properly locked up and the burglar alarm is activated. Kindly arrange with the host to hand over the key and the remote.
5. OCCUPANCY: -
a) The number of persons occupying the property is not to exceed the maximum number stated in the property description or as stipulated at the time of making the reservation as per the booking form and invoice. Should the number of people exceed the number stated, you will be charged, or excess guests will be asked to leave.
b) Only guests whose name appear on the invoice will be permitted on the Guest House premises. Any unauthorized persons that was not originally booked for, will be fined at a premium rate of R1500. per person.
c) All guests must act and behave in a reasonable manner and have consideration for the neighbours in the area. The proprietors reserve the right to terminate the let of the property if the guests or any person/s occupying the property, causes a disturbance or nuisance that may upset the peace and tranquility within the neighbourhood
d) Music and noise levels are to be kept down to a level that is acceptable to all residents and neighbours within the area.
6. PROPERTY SAFETY AND SECURITY: -
a) Unauthorized persons/visitors are not allowed on the premises.
b) Please lock all doors during the day and during the night.
c) The property’s security alarm is to be activated whenever the property is left unoccupied.
d) Guests are to adopt vigilance and due care when occupying the property and will be briefed on the property security measure upon arrival.
7. PETS AND SMOKING POLICY: -
a) Non-smoking establishment. Smokers are requested to make use of ashtrays and “bud buckets” outside at all times.
b) No candles are permitted.
c) We are pet friendly.
8. BREAKAGES: -
a) The guest and all persons occupying the premises, undertake to keep all furniture, all soft furnishings, fixtures and fittings and all other electrical items in and around the premises in the same state and condition as at the commencement of their stay.
b) Guests undertake to leave the house in the state of cleanliness as when they arrived.
c) Kindly report any or all damages and breakages that may have occurred during your stay.
d) The proprietors of the Farm Buffelsdrift; The Main House and The Wine Store shall be compensated by the guest / applicant for any damages and breakages as well as any excess cleaning that is required. Sole interpretation in the event will be made by the proprietors and the property manager.
9. RISK OF LOSS AND INDEMNIFICATION: -
a) The guests agrees that all personal property, furnishings, personal effects and other items brought into the property by guest or their permitted guests and visitors shall be at the sole risk of the guest and occupants with regards to any theft, damage, destruction of all and any other loss and damages.
b) The proprietors, owners, property manager and employees do not accept liability for any loss or damage to person or personal property however caused.
10. UNAVAILABILITY OF PROPERTY: -
a) In the event, that the property is not available for use during the rental term due to reasons, events or circumstances beyond the control of the proprietors and the property manager. The manager will apply due diligence and good faith efforts to locate a replacement property that equals the property with respect to occupancy capacity, location and value that meets reasonable satisfaction of the guest. If such replacement property cannot be found, all payments made by the guest shall be refunded, whereupon the rental agreement shall be terminated. The guest and proprietors shall have no further obligations or liabilities in any manner pertaining to this agreement.
11. MUNICIPAL SERVICES: -
a) If municipal electricity or water services are disrupted to the property, the guest shall immediately notify the property manager or host of such circumstance and reasonable efforts will be made to restore such services.
b) Should the event be beyond the reasonable control of the proprietors and property manager, the guest shall hold the proprietors and property manager harmless against any claims because of the extenuation circumstance.
12. ASSIGNMENT OR SUBLEASE: -
a) The guest shall not assign or sublease the property or permit the use of any portion of the property by any other person/s who are not family members or guest of the guest and included within the number of and as permitted occupants under this agreement.
b) The property shall not be used for any other purpose aside from residential self-catering accommodation.
