This is not exactly a review regarding a stay at the hotel. It is more of a warning to those who are planning to travel to this hotel and Lachung in general. We had booked this hotel for a night towards the end of May 2025. The cost for a nights stay was not so negligible and the highest we had to chalk out during our 10 day trip to North East. 2 days before the trip, we were informed that over 100 tourist vehicles were stranded on the route to Lachung due to landslides. The District Collector also issued an advisory asking tourists not to travel to this destination. We had booked through MMT and promptly requested them to cancel the stay and sent them the advisory. The hotel was non cancellable and the owners took no heed to our plea that no taxi drivers were willing to take us there. So we ended up not travelling to Lachung. I talked to 3-4 drivers. All of them dissuaded me from travelling to Lachung during that week with family as it was unsafe. So when they say, that the hotel booking is not cancellable, it literally means that and this is an area that is very vulnerable. Please take an insurance while planning your trip to this location for cancellation and other potential hazards. The hotel management is also not flexible and they may have their own reasons. Despite informing them that we are unable to travel due to conditions, they declined our special request to cancel. They may have their reasons. But we are the ones on the losing end. So be warned!!

Why #Lachung hotels like #Yashree and platforms likec#Agoda continue to offer bookings at discount when all roads are closed, someone will drop there from thin air #scam #sikkimtourism. Further, they make bookings only partially refundable. All roads are blocked / closed due to multiple landslides. Last stuck tourist was rescued yesterday as per government sources. But all online agents and hotels continue malpractice in hand gloves. Struggling to get refunds when trip cancelled due to natural disaster. The booking was done through available link on TripAdvisor, fist booking through #Agoda, else was always booking Cthrough *********** with full refund option.

Stayed for two nights. The room was comfortable with stunning views of the mountain. Staff were friendly and courteous Location was good as it was pretty high up so views were good . Bathroom was a bit slippery so one had to be careful especially Food was average with mostly north and South Indian food. Not many local dishes. Was a comfortable stay and would stay again
