我們在下午1點多到達酒店,被告知2點可以辦理入住手續。於是我們先去餐廳吃了午飯,然後在2點多回到前台。然而,這次前台卻告訴我們房間還沒準備好,還需要再等待一段時間。前台沒有空調,我們在高温中等了很久,感覺快中暑了。最終,在我們堅持下,我們被允許先前往房間放下行李,而到達房間時,我們發現房間其實已經準備好了。我們無法理解,為什麼在我們提前到達並已經告知前台的情況下,還不能按照規定的時間2點準備好房間。
此外,在我們退房時,明明我是排在一個白人客人前面,但前台工作人員卻對我説,恐怕是那個白人先到的。直到那位白人客人明確表示我先到時,工作人員才進行我的退房手續。這讓我感到前台工作人員可能存在種族歧視、排斥華人的嫌疑,這樣的行為令人無法接受!
順便提一下,餐廳的工作人員態度不錯,我們在這裏吃了三頓飯,菜品也非常美味。
We arrived at the hotel around 1 PM and were told that check-in would be available at 2 PM. So, we went to the restaurant for lunch and returned to the front desk a little after 2 PM, only to be informed that the room was still not ready. The front desk had no air conditioning, and we had to wait in the heat for a long time, which was very uncomfortable. Finally, after insisting, we were allowed to go to the room to drop off our luggage, and upon arriving, we found that the room was actually ready. We couldn’t understand why we had to wait so long, especially when we had already arrived early.
Moreover, during check-out, I was standing in line ahead of a white guest, but the front desk staff told me that the white guest might have arrived first. It wasn’t until the white guest pointed out that I was actually ahead that the staff proceeded with my check-out. This made me feel that the front desk staff might have been racially biased and Chinese exclusion, which is completely unacceptable.
On a positive note, the restaurant staff were friendly, and we had three meals there. The food was delicious.
