They CANCELLED my rental WHILE TRAVELING although repeated correspondence with the Redwood Hollow Cottages associates that I was a mother traveling with her two young children needing and addressing safety and accessibility concerns. Accessibility was denied the first night due to the aforementioned and the time of night accessing an associate because our flight arrived late; hence, we were stranded the first night having to make spontaneous alternative accommodations while keeping my young childrens’ spirits up in an unfamiliar town. The replacement property lacked satisfaction fulfilling my top two concerns and caused my incredibly cherished vacation with my children to be completely jeopardized. I’m safely home now, yet you ruined memories and life that cannot be replaced; I hope you and your associates are proud of yourselves for the,“…work” you do…,”. We enjoyed the property and how well-cared for it was. We were able to walk around and “discovered” the greenhouse. Our toddler loved it! We stayed in Whispering Sands and liked the homey feel. It was not too noisy and we were able to relax. The beach and restaurants were easily accessible by walking which we did. All in all, we will definitely love to return and stay longer.

Unique cottages of all sizes, lush landscaping and very quiet overall. Nicely appointed with all one needs for a comfy stay. Adorable setting. Complicated online reservation system. Some definite quirks(office closed on Sunday but Welcome book says they are open everyday). No one onsite after 5:00pm. No instructions on how to run the a/c or coffee maker. The ceiling fan only worked when bedroom light was on. No window screens

This was perfect. It'd be fun to go with a group and rent all the cottages. It's a short walk to a small beach and also a short walk to a great restaurant, El Pescador Fish Market (Ate there 3 times on a four day stay) and a great surf shop, Mitch's surf shop. It would be perfect if it was on the beach. Also, don't miss The Taco Stand.

My stay at Redwood Hollow was a mix of pros and cons. The property’s location is fantastic—set in a stunning area with a beautiful garden, and within walking distance to the beach and La Jolla village. However, the hotel itself is in need of renovation. The rooms and facilities could use some updating to match the charm of the surroundings. One significant issue was the $500 charge to my card for a deposit on incidentals. Although I had read about it during booking, I was later informed that I wouldn’t be charged. The charge only appeared on my account the morning of checkout, which was confusing and unexpected. While I enjoyed the area, the surprise charge left a sour note on an otherwise pleasant stay.

We booked Redwood Hollow Cottages for a birthday/babymoon getaway and it was the perfect place to relax. We loved the "secret garden" feel while still being close to the beach and some great places to eat. Would definitely stay here again!

Unique, historic, absolutely lovely spaces My last stay was to recover from surgery in a positive, cozy location away from home. Prior to that I stayed to spend time cooking, hiking, and connecting with my children who live in San Diego. Both stays were in different spaces and I cannot say enough about how special both were.

This property is a little gem among the bigger condos. Lovely landscaping for each unit. Small kitchen but has everything you need. Walkable to dining options and to the beach area. Would definitely come back again in the area.

This place was ce tral walking distance to the beach. Loved it. My only recommendation is adding window screens bc the units are vintafe and in need of ve tilayion.
