Spark by Hilton La Crosse Onalaska

Do NOT stay at this hotel unless you travel with your own cups. This hotel is too cheap and incompetent to provide plastic cups so you can rinse your mouth after brushing your teeth in the bathroom. While on the topic of the bathroom, the light switch was absolutely disgusting (see photos). The “new” headboard was ripped on one side and had greasy hair stains on the other. From a security standpoint, the exterior 1st floor door by the pool would not close and was left open all night. Upon checking out, I asked to speak to the manager (Mona) who made excuses and did nothing to address my concerns. They have a “Make it Right” guarantee right on the check in desk, that they might as well throw it in the garbage. As a Hilton Gold member, I expect a certain minimal standard . This hotel is a shoddily updated Comfort Inn that degrades the Hilton brand. My girlfriend and I had our July 4th night ruined.

It’s unfit. Not clean. Pool is freezing cold. Bathrooms have mold in them. Couldn’t find staff to express problems to because they were always hiding somewhere… I shouldn’t have to call someone to get a front desk attendant. Their job is to be at the front desk not hiding some where!

The hotel was clean and comfortable. Would stay here again, but might bring my own breakfast as only carbs and sugary options.

This hotel is not being maintained properly. The pool and hot tub were out of order and disgusting. The cleaning is questionable. The bed frame was broken. The whole place smelled like **** and cigarette smoke. I found a switchblade in my room when I arrived. People were sleeping in the lobby overnight on the common couch.

Nice hotel to stay in. Very clean. Good breakfast also. Highly recommend. Receptionist was very polite. The location is very convenient. There are many places around the hotel to dine or shop. Love Onalaska!!!
