奧蘭卡基地飯店(Basecamp Oulanka)

Fantastische plek midden in de natuur. Vanuit hier wandel je zo op de beroemde beren route (die is meer dan 80 km lang), of je kiest voor de kleine beer van 12 km 😅. Tevens kan je er raften en kanoën. Na een lange dag duik je de sauna en whirlpool in (gratis als je er verblijft). Wij bleven 2 nachten slapen in prima kamer. Elke dag kan je aanschuiven bij lunch met soep en broodjes of bij het 3-gangen buffet (heerlijke cakes!). Vegetarisch op verzoek is geen probleem. Excursies worden allemaal voor je geregeld op verzoek

Upealla paikalla Pienen Karhunkierroksen varrella. Kaunis ja hiljainen alue. Rantasauna aivan mahtava ja uimaan pääsi puhtaaseen järveen. Huone pieni mutta aivan riittävä yhden yön majoitukseen. Henkilökunta oli uutta mutta tekivät parhaansa. Täydellinen paikka rauhaa arvostavalle.

L'établissement se proclame "dog friendly" avec une affiche à l'entrée, or rien n'est proposé dans la chambre pour le confort du chien et il nous est demandé un supplément non négligeable (30 euros). Aussi le repas buffet était très cher (35 euros par personne) pour quelques crudités, de la purée, de la viande de rennes et une crème dessert.

Hienossa paikassa ja aivan loistava ruoka sekä super ystävällinen henkilökunta. Kivat huoneet, pieniä mutta toimiva tila ratkaisu pelasti. Plussaa vielä sauna ja hieno sijainti lähellä luontoa ja koskia

Matkustettiin Basecamp hotelliin ajatuksella retkeillä seuraavana päivä Oulangassa. Hyvin sopi ajatuksee ja hintaan sisältunyt sauna/palju oli kiva ylläri.

Basecamp is a beautiful place to stay, so peaceful and remote, with fantastic staff, lovely food and comfy rooms. The frozen lake is so picturesque, we also walked to the frozen waterfall and to the mill too, which weren't far away through the forest. The guides that led our Exodus Family Wilderness Week were great, and really took care of us when the temperature hit -34C so we could still go outside and take part in activities. The food was good, the cakes were tasty, and the soups- the orange hot chocolate was very boozy indeed. Both children (9 and 11) loved it, and embraced the activities, as well as playing games in the evening near the fire in the main building. I really hope to return one day, as the activities were great fun, the location stunning, and all the family had an amazing time.

This was a beautiful setting to stay for a week. The cabin was really cosy and the heated flooring was nice. It was an incredible place and you can ask them to knock and wake you if they see the northern lights, which is a really nice touch. The food was incredible and the staff really friendly. It was a really great base to enjoy the National park.

Really nice facility with many top notch services and friendly staff. There are numerous cross country skiing, snowshoeing, hiking and ice climbing options in the surrounding area. I really enjoyed hiking by the river for photography options. It would be a good idea to wear crampons on the trails though especially around the stairs and close to the river to prevent slipping.
