陽台飯店(Hotel Balcony)

This is a good choice for budget travelers for a one or two night stay. Hotel is in a central location (set back from the road so look out for the signs on the main street) , 2 km from Kutaisi train station and 10 minutes to city centre . The rooms are small but very clean and comfortable. Wifi is good, beds are comfortable, room is well heated. There is a balcony which we didn’t use but would be nice in the summer months . Breakfast was plentiful and hearty. There were two negatives for us. The balcony door didn’t lock and there were no English speaking staff on premises. I was checked in over the phone by the manager and her number is posted on the door. The next morning we were able to ask the lady who cooked our breakfast if we could store our bags for a few hours, we managed ok with translator. However if you needed help to call a taxi or for anything else this was not available, which might be an issue for some travelers . I also wasn’t sure how secure our bags were for the time we were gone, perhaps a locked cupboard or storage area would be better. Having said all that however I would stay at the hotel again because it was excellent value for money

L’hotel è situato a pochi passi dalla piazza principale sebbene sia in una posizione defilata. All’arrivo non c’era nessuno in reception e abbiamo aspettato diversi minuti. La camera che ci hanno dato era al secondo piano senza ascensore con scale eccessivamente ripide e pericolose da fare con le valigie. La camera non era grande ed era calda, per cui bisognava tenere acceso il climatizzatore anche di notte altrimenti era una sauna. Sul tetto è presente una piccola piscina, motivo per cui l’abbiamo scelto. La colazione si può fare sulla terrazza con vista sulla città. La colazione non è molto varia in termini di scelta. Tutto sommato hotel onesto ma si può trovare dì meglio in città

The room we got was ice cold, not heated in advance and the first night we slept in 14 degrees Celsius. When we took a shower we noticed a leaking faucet. The toilet flushing button was broken too. The beds were of poor quality, and back ache is guaranteed. No one working in the reception and difficult to communicate in English. The ladies in the kitchen only understood Russian and Georgian. The breakfast which was included in the price, Is not suitable for vegetarians. The location is ok but difficult to find even by taxi driver at night. This hotel/guesthouse is not suitable or recommended for any foreigner or tourists. Minimum standard and very poor communication. Even our complaints were ignored and we shortened our stay and changed hotels.

Hotel Balcony is a really nice, and charming place, with kind staff, and correct rooms. It's just 600 meters from the city center, easy walk within 5-6 minutes. Most of rooms have a great balcony, with view to the cathedral. Hotel also have a pool and roof teracce. Pool is quite small, but there is, and can be enough for refreshing. Some details of the hotel is a bit run-down, but overall this place is a good choice if you stay some days in Kutaisi. Wifi OK, breakfast is more than you expect:)

Though this is a Guest House and not exactly an hotel, the hospitability of the owner - Teo makes this a wonderful place to stay. She and her family are very accommodative and would go out of the way to help you! Location is at a walking distance to most of the facilities.
