Nice basic level hotel. Interesting Lapland theme, even I am not sure if it fits so well in Kuopio, but it caused nice and cozy athmosphere. The room (standard) was small and very basic, but clean. The only problem was super low water pressure in the shower in the morning. We had to stop taking shower because there was no water. We reported that at reception so I believe it has been fixed now. The location is perfect, near by railway station and city center. Our room was quiet even if it was on the street side. I would have rated this hotel to have 3 stars based on the quality of the room, but because of good service and exellent breakfast I'll give 4 stars. BTW, we were charged 9 euros more than it was agreed on, but when we reported that, 9 euros were given back and also we received a discount for next stay, so it's ok.

Puijonsarvi is legendary - it had the coolest night club in town in the 1980's :) The hotel has an excellent location near Kuopio's main attractions and the breakfast buffet is maybe the best I've had at this hotel chain. Service is always friendly no matter how busy the house may be.

一切都很小,很小,很有必要。從我看來最有趣的方面是酒店的中心,一旦安排好,我們就走了,因爲小小的哥皮亞市正好着河港,木教堂的鐘聲,船的士--對於這座紀念西雅圖的大型城來說,節奏緩慢,非常慢。從酒店來到舊的木製色彩房屋的流行區,到現代化的圖書館和由A Alto和Col設計的建築。

Upraded rooms with air-conditioning. The hotel is located in a building from the 70's and it seems they have done a partitial renovation. Some things seem older than others. All the basics work well, nothing special to mention. The hotel is located in a beautiful location by the lake Kallavesi, but the scenery is sadly totally lost, you really see it only from the staircase (or room, if it has lake-view). There is a terrace on the lake-side, but no service there. Hotel's pool was being renovated, so we couldn't try it. Breakfast was ok, I've had better breakfast in other Scandic hotels. Item labels were misplaced and many items (for example smoothie) had way too much sugar in them.
