We traveled from Mumbai to Lonavala and spent the weekend at Iakshana Resort, staying in their Superior Valley View Room. To begin with, the resort offers ample parking space within its premises, which was very convenient. We received a warm welcome at the reception, where we were also given a detailed overview of the resort's amenities. While the property isn’t very large, it includes everything one could need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The location is excellent, and our valley-facing room was both spacious and picturesque, offering beautiful views. We dined at their Rasa Restaurant, where the food was delicious and the service was outstanding. A special mention to Divya Gaikwad and the rest of the restaurant staff for ensuring that all our expectations were met with care and attention. At the time of our visit, there was some ongoing work on the terrace, due to which a few corners needed better cleaning. However, I’m confident this will be resolved once the renovations are complete. The swimming pool, though on the smaller side for a 4/5-star property, was very well-maintained. We also tried their spa therapy, and I must say, the staff were well-trained and the experience was truly satisfying. Mrs. Nair at the reception was extremely courteous and answered all our queries patiently. One area for improvement is the gaming zone. The badminton rackets were damaged, and the zone opens at 10 AM, which feels a bit late. For early risers or guests on a short stay, opening it around 8–9 AM would be more ideal. Also, since they have a good amount of space for sports activities, more can be done in that area from entertainment/adventure perspective. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Since a 4.5-star rating isn’t possible here, I’m giving it a full 5 stars, with the hope that the minor issues mentioned will be addressed soon.
