Vanilla County Heritage Plantation Bungalow

Silu et toute son équipe ont été incroyablement accueillants ! Cette magnifique maison est idéalement située au milieu de la végétation, un endroit des plus agréables, superbement entretenu, où il fait bon se reposer dans les hamacs du jardin. Les plats cuisinés sont excellents et frais. Silu m'a accompagnée en balade autour de la maison avec son chien Coffee. Ma chambre en hauteur était un petit havre de paix, perchée au-dessus du jardin. L'ambiance qui règne ici est si bienveillante qu'elle est propice aux rencontres, avec les hôtes comme avec les autres invités (j'y ai moi-même rencontré trois personnes incroyables). Merci pour ce super accueil, je reviendrai avec plaisir à Vanilla County !

Notre endroit favori au Kerala, on aimerait y rester longtemps. Parfait pour les amoureux de la nature, ce lieu est magnifique, le jardin, la maison vous plonge dans un autre temps avec tout le confort moderne. Une nourriture très goûteuse. Silu, l’hôtesse, sait vous accueillir comme un invité, elle nous a également aidé dans la logistique de notre séjour. Tout le staff est au petit soin et compétent. Si vous allez à Vagamon c’est vraiment l’endroit idéal

It was an absolutely fantastic experience at this idyllic bungalow The stay was made special by the super attentive staff and the owner who made us feel at home and were receptive to our every need . Highly recommended for a few days of chilled out unwinding stay !!!!!

What an incredibly special place this is! We arrived by Jeep and received the warmest welcome from Matthew and Sillu. They arranged for us to travel by jeep to a beautiful mountain fed pool where we were able to swim surrounded by the most beautiful forest scenery. The rooms are stunning and every detail had been thought of. The food was outstanding for both dinner and breakfast. Definitely up there as some of our best food on the whole trip. We are planning to return in 2025 and stay for a few nights at least- beautiful homestay, wonderful welcome and the most scrumptious food! Thank you for such an amazing stay.

I felt proud about my selection after the 2 nights stay at Vanilla County. We wished to have a couple of days away from busy schedules, noisy roads and polluted surroundings. Vanilla County was the best choice. We could walk thru comparatively untouched soil and water streams. Cool, Calm atmosphere, birds, butterflies, variety of plants and Kannilthulli brought out the kids in us. I will never forget her gorgeous smile in satisfaction when I applied kannilthulli in her eyes. Quality and variety of food served for every meal was exemplary. Some of them brought childhood memories. Hospitality of team Vanilla County, especially Maju and Sojan was really amazing. Response for each of our needs was the Malayalam word "Pinnentha", means "Why not". We wish them good in everything and wish to go back when possible. Anyone who loves nature, we recommend Vanilla County.

The plantation is amazing with all the greenery surrounding the houses. It's complete relaxing and calm place. For us 4 adults and 4 kids, we really enjoyed the trek and natural rock pools. The guide showed us local plants, spices and told us about the changes that is happening. Interesting and really nice walks in the areas. Stayed 2 nights and it's was perfect, the food is amazing and local Kerala food. The hosts and staff is making everything to make you feel welcomed and satisfied.

I had a great stay at Vanilla County. The owners were very friendly and, since our stay was during Christmas, they had arranged a lovely Christmas evening with fireworks, cake, games, and home-made wine. The rooms are very nice, clean and with all the amenities you need, the place looks really nice and has a small spice plantation nearby. In addition, there is a very nice natural rock pool nearby that you can swim in.

It felt like we have always been living in this property and all that was around us was a normal everyday life. Spacious rooms with some valuable accent, awesome personnel who made our days special. Very grateful for this experience!

This little gem of a hotel is tucked into a garden with lovely vegetation in an old vanilla plantation. Rooms are in the colonial amin house or bungalows set into the hillside over looking the garden. There is a nice pool at a good temperature. The rooms smelt a little musty but were nice. The service and authentic food was excellent.
