The staff here are really lovely. However the hotel is not relaxing. There are lots of families and kids making a lot of noise, but I don’t mind that (even hours of Marco Polo - it’s to be expected). However several sets of guest has big speakers and super loud competing amplified music. It also caters to army service men and women who bought ice chests full of their own beer and liquor to the pool. (I don’t even resent that, as none of the bars were open.). However, as they got more and more drunk, it got louder and louder, going late into the night. Even the double glazing wasn’t able to keep it out after we went to bed! Christmas Day, we had to ask some other guests if they would mind keeping their music a little lower (which they immediately did - so thank you to them for being receptive. I just wish there had been someone on staff monitoring this.) One other ****** is that the AC is the room is not adjustable. It is either ON or OFF and it is pretty frigid. Other than that, it’s great. The breakfast buffet is small, but has everything you need, and the coffee is nice and strong :). The staff really are lovely and can help you book trips and restaurant reservations. I think as long as you aren’t trying to relax at the pool, it is fine.
