Poipu Kai luxury awaits!Escape to the beautifully upgraded Taro Suite, a private master studio offering a vacation haven. With a kitchenette, walk-in shower, A/C, Wi-Fi, washer, dryer, and access to resort amenities, it provides all the comforts you need for an unforgettable stay. Unwind by heated saltwater pool nestled in a tranquil oasis or explore the scenic walking paths surrounding the property. Experience top-tier amenities and a peaceful atmosphere for a truly relaxing getaway.Here are details about the property:Please check more detailed house rules in our welcome book, on our website.- When you pull up to the beautiful Walelia Getaway, you will find your parking in the driveway on the right hand side.There will be another vehicle parked to the left, so be sure to park only on the right hand side in front of the garage (Find attached).This will be your designated parking for one vehicle.- As you walk through the doors to the grand entrance hall, you will see your unit #2 for the Taro Suite, on the right hand side. This hall space is shared with our other suite, the Orchid Suite #1.There’s also a door at the end of the hall, which goes to our shared pool and backyard area. - Outside of your door, you will see two beach chairs and one beach umbrella for your use. There is a hose for footwash and an outside shower that you can utilize to wash off yourself and the equipment after the beach, located out in the parking area by the pond. (Find attached)- You will have electronic access to your unit, and your code will be given to you upon the day or before of your arrival. As you enter into your property, you will see a small, cozy room with a queen bed and fresh linens. The AC will be set to a cool temperature for you to have a comfortable time settling in. 
Please note that the door will automatically lock once you are inside the suite.- As you walk in, you will find a desk and working space on your left hand side with a lamp and a mirror, to your right you will find the fully loaded kitchenette with hot plate located under the sink. Also, under the sink, you will find a dish rack for clean dishes, paper, towels, and trash bags. There will be a fresh sponge and dish soap and a dish towel for your use as well. All of the dishes and cooking ware will be above the sink area in the cupboards and a Keurig coffee maker will be on the counter. Further right in the closet you will see additional appliances, toaster, blender, and Keurig coffee pods with creamer and sugar for your entire stay. Also, in this closet, you will find an iron and a small ironing board, as well as a laundry basket, hangers, and a step ladder.
When looking around your room, you will see that the TV has a Roku set up for your enjoyment. There’s also a dresser which will have two beach towels rolled nicely, and a couple nightstands with lamps by the bed. You will have a full bathroom, including a walk-in upgraded shower with all of the soaps, including shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and an added perk of biodegradable exfoliating sponges. This unit has solar, on-demand heating, and it takes a minute to travel from the source. Please turn the water on a couple minutes before you jump into the shower to be sure it’s at the right temperature. There will be four bath towels, four hand towels, and four washcloths in the bathroom for your use, as well as a black make up removal washcloth.- As you exit through the sliding glass doors, you’ll have your own private lanai with table and two chairs, as well as a couple boogie boards for your enjoyment. If you go right on the path, you will see the washer and dryer in our shared laundry room. This laundry room is shared with the other unit on property so you will need to wash and remove your items as soon as they are completed. There will be laundry soap in the room as well, for your use.- If you go back inside and back through your front door, you will take a right and head out the glass doors to your semi private heated saltwater pool. There is a pool light in case you want to take a swim at night. - Resort-Style Amenities Included! This is a RENOVATED deluxe GROUND FLOOR unit at Poipu Sands, in the Poipu Kai Resort. It has a wide white water OCEAN VIEW down to Shipwreck Beach, where the Grand Hyatt Kauai is located. This unit faces into the trade winds, providing a cooling breeze, even on the warmest summer days. For sleeping comfort, there is AIR CONDITIONING in the bedroom, which is not often found.This is a spacious one bedroom, 1 1/2 bath floor plan offering a spacious 1000 sq. ft. of interior living space. With high ceilings, and an open floor plan, the condo feels much larger. Unique to this unit, are glass French doors in the bedroom, which provide views of the ocean, in the distance. The expanded kitchen design, allows for a generous area to prepare meals, when going out is not necessary. Few restaurants will have a better table with a view!The appliance are all new, and the cabinets are bamboo. It is fully equipped and ready for any meal preparation you might want to do.The floors are all tile throughout, and there is a window wall of glass looking out towards the pool and ocean beyond. It is rare to find a heated pool on Kauai, and this one is one of the best, having been recently renovated. There are several grill areas around the property, so preparing a meal on the grill should be easy. Poipu Sands is part of the Poipu Kai Resort, which encompasses several condo complexes, houses, and a hotel. With a system of paved pathways, you can access restaurants, beaches, and tennis. You even have access to the Poipu Kai pool and spa, which was just renovated in 2019. It is an easy 10 minute walk down the pathway to get there.From the condo, walk down to the ocean and hike along the ocean Heritage Trail, offering magnificent views from the sandstone cliffs. There you can watch a sunset, whale watch during the winter, or just listen to the sounds of the ocean. There is also a short walk around Makahuena Point, where you can see sea turtles floating in the surf, and have a front row seat for the setting sun.Poipu Sands is renown for it wide open green spaces, exceptional pool, and well designed lanais that provide privacy to guests. Aloha! E komo mai to our little slice of paradise. Located in the community of Kiahuna Plantation Resort in Poipu, Kauai in Unit 127. Our first-story walk out unit sits on a 35-acre beachfront resort with large rolling lawns, well maintained gardens, and a path that will take you right down to our beach, Hale O I'A Bay/Kiahuna Beach, within a few minutes. From the property you can walk in both directions, perhaps to the Sheraton for dinner or the Ali'i Luau or in the opposite direction to the main Poipu Beach (16 minute walk/3 min drive), famous for snorkeling, sleeping sea turtles and monk seals, and the incredibly delicious Puka Dog (banana and Hawaiian mustard is our recommendation...sounds wrong but it's so good!). Enjoy the vintage charm of this quant property with its planation shutters that allow the sounds of Hawaii that let the ocean breeze flow through our unit. The lanai is set up for outdoor dining and you can easily sit in the sun or stay protected in the shade. From the lanai, it is a 2-3 minute walk to the beach or grand lawn. On the grand lawn there is towel service for our guests and a nice lawn with chaise lounges or you can take the small stair case to the beach. Another feature of our property is the full access to the Poipu Athletic Club that you will receive as our guest. The crosswalk is located within 25 yards of our front door. Cross the street with a flashing light crosswalk and head up the marked path to the Athletic club where you can enjoy a pool with slide on one end and a zero/ "beach entry" on the other end for families with small children, play tennis and pickle ball, sign-up for yoga or pilates, lift weights, use cardio machines, and play outdoor volleyball. Definitely a great space for families or those seeking to keep up workout routines while on vacation. Towels, showers, water bottle refills, tennis rackets, and pickle ball paddles are all located at the Athletic club complimentary to guests. The Cabana Bar and Grill is also located there for some good eats or walk back down the path to the very popular Little Fish Coffee.Also, within walking distance is the Po'ipu Shopping Village with three solid restaurants, a Starbucks (opens early), and many shops. This shopping center takes us 3-4 minutes out the front door to reach. With a car, it only takes a few minutes to any of the above mentioned, including the main Poipu Beach, Shops at Kukuiula with some great restaurants and stores, and the Kiahuna Golf Club. It's a short drive to the village of Koloa for more eatery choices and food truck scene. Laundry facilities are not in the unit but a $3/load or credit card operated laundry facility is on the property, 7am-9pm.Cleaning fee is listed under "Host fee" when you check out. This money goes directly to our cleaning partner and not to the host. This custom designed Hawaiian plantation style cottage is located just steps from Poipu Beach Park and Brennecke’s beach on a quiet dead end street. It is the perfect vacation retreat. Hale Honu was just completed in September of 2014 and was designed to fit in with it’s historic neighborhood and the ancient Hawaiian Village that borders the backyard. Its location give a secluded feeling while being close to beautiful Poipu Beach. The cottage's plantation style is the perfect mix of old Hawaii while offering every modern luxury. Outside is a barbeque grilling area and a beautiful double garden shower accessible from either the guest bath or from outdoors. The open floor plan has a living room that opens up to the oversized covered lanai through expansive retractable glass doors. This allows the indoor and outdoor space to truly become one. Enjoy spending time on the spacious covered lanai, eating at the large dining table, relaxing in the conversation area or just lounging on the two chaises to watch the beautiful Kauai sunset. Ceiling fans keep the living areas breezy and cool. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas range, full size refrigerator, whisper quiet dishwasher, as well as, granite counters, open shelving, and is fully stocked for all cooking and baking needs. The entertainment system includes a wide screen TV with surround sound, apple TV, blue ray DVD , as well as speakers through out the living room and the lanai Wi-Fi is included throughout the house and lanai as well as TVs in both of the bedrooms.
