I recently stayed at Ethnotel Kolkata, expecting a comfortable experience due to its proximity to Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, but unfortunately, my stay was disappointing.
Rooms & Cleanliness:
The biggest issue was the lack of cleanliness. The room felt dirty, with visible dust, stained linens, and an unpleasant odor. The bathroom was not properly cleaned, and there were signs of poor maintenance.
Service & Staff:
The staff was polite, but their responsiveness was slow. Housekeeping took too long to address cleanliness concerns, and overall service did not meet expectations.
Dining Experience:
The food was average, with limited options. Room service was slow, and the quality did not justify the price.
Noise Levels:
Being near the airport, the rooms were quite noisy, and the soundproofing was inadequate. It was difficult to get a peaceful rest.
Overall Impression:
While the hotel’s location is convenient, the dirty rooms and slow service made the stay uncomfortable. It needs better maintenance and improved service to justify its pricing. I wouldn’t recommend it unless cleanliness improves.
