棕櫚葉度假村(Palm Leaf Resort Koh Tao)

Das Hotel liegt am ende der Sairee Beach und daher etwas abseits vom lärm . Strand liegen und vor allem die auflagen waren total alt und zerrissen und leider, weil es sehr viel geregnet hat, waren die auflagen alle voll gesaugt vom wasser . Sie brauchen dringend neue auflagen . Wir waren für 5 nächte in diesem Hotel, wir hatten ein Deluxe Villa zimmer im obergeschoss . Diese zimmer dürften renoviert gewesen sein, das zimmer war gross und hatte einen schönen Balkon und großes Bad. Aber sehr dumm organisiert, der seifenspender und handtuchhalter waren weit weg vom Waschbecken und def dusche . WC Spülung war so gut wie unbrauchbar. Waschbecken hatte nur kaltes Wasser, und nur Salzwasser zum benutzen. Die Bungalows sind sehr klein mit wenig platz und total renovierungsbedürftig . Wir waren zu viert und haben am ersten Abend im Hotel gegessen, keiner von uns konnte sein Essen als gut bewerten. Nächsten Tag haben wir wieder im Hotel gefrühstückt und dann nie wieder in diesem Hotel was gegessen . Wir wollten eigentlich viele Ausflüge machen aber es hat fast jeden Tag geregnet und nur einen Tag konnten wir mit Taxiboat zu koh nang yuan fahren und das war den gesamte Urlaub wert . Nur zu empfehlen. Das Personal im Hotel ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit bis auf die cheffin an der Rezeption.

We had an amazing experience here in koh tao and extremely happy to have stayed here! The resort is right on the beach front and we opted for the beachfront villa which was so worth it. Great scenery with the sea and then the jungle right behind. 10 minute walk to the busy part of koh Tao just along the beach with plenty of restaurants for dinner. Also cheap scoter rentals from the resort. They also pick you up from the pier and take you back - great service.

We stayed here for 3 night, the shower is very close to the toilet. The bathroom floor was soaking wet every night with multiple towels needed to mop up the water. We realised it was the toilet leaking on our last day and not just shower water. We informed reception straight away, they offered us to move rooms but we did not want to as we would need to repack our things then unpack just to repack before checking out in just over 12 hours time. We asked for a partial refund, the reception lady laughed at us multiple times and point blanked refused to even consider a partial refund for the substandard room. We explained why we did not want to move and then she said we could stay in the room but not allowed to use the toilet. This went on for around 20 minutes when she then become irate and started shouting at us and threatened to call the police, even though we remained calm and have done nothing wrong. My advice is do not stay here, the customer service is horrible and they do not live up to the hospitable nature of Thai people.

Personalen var trevliga och hjälpsamma. Restaurangen var bra och väldigt prisvärd men dock inte öppen kvällstid. Rummet var super med undantag för att vattnet inte rann undan bra på badrumsgolvet.

Please don’t stay at this place! We booked a standard bungalow almost 50€ a night which is not that cheap compared to other places in Koh Tao and Thailand in general. Bungalow itself is extremely small, you feel yourself as in the coffin in that tiny room, you barely can put any stuff there. There is no bedside table, just mini fridge on ONE side of the bed, so all my stuff I had to put there…this accommodation is max for 1 person, not 2 (we were only backpacking, so not a lot of things with us). Inside is very hot so you always need to turn on air conditioner which is a bit noisy and old. The room needs to be renovated: furniture is old, shower is broken and looks not hygienic, and only slightly warm water comes out. In the bathroom there is weird stair between shower and toilet, so I almost fell twice. Beach is there but there is almost no water in the see till the evening and stinks like dead fish, especially in the morning. There was also no electricity one day for around 5 hours. Lady at reception is not very friendly and cares only about the money trying to sell all possible services. Really, I am not over reacting but this place is one of the worst I have ever stayed and definitely not worth this money. There are plenty other hotels around for the lower price than this . I won’t recommend this place!

I had a negative experience with Palm Leaf Resort when I accidentally booked a room, due to misleading information, that wasn't aligned with my travel route. Within TWO HOURS of making the reservation, I promptly canceled and requested a refund of the $350 I had paid. Despite explaining the situation in a formal letter, the resort refused to refund me, displaying a lack of understanding and empathy towards a genuine human error. Their rigid and unyielding approach, prioritizing monetary gain over customer service, left me deeply dissatisfied. I caution others to be wary of Palm Leaf Resort's poor customer service and suggest they explore alternative options that prioritize customer satisfaction.

Fabulous location on the quieter end of Sairee Beach. Perfect for snorkelling. Crystal clear sea. Just a 10/15 min walk to some lovely beach bars and restaurants. I don’t normally like to give poor reviews but feel I need to be honest about our experience. Unfortunately our accommodation was very disappointing. Building rubble on entry and around the grounds. We paid for a delux sea view bungalow but ours was facing the reception and restaurant . No privacy. We had to keep curtains closed. And very noisy with motorbike hire. Our bungalow needed updating. We asked to move but were refused. We felt very much like ‘Tourist Fodder’. The only time we were spoken to was to either sell us a trip or ask where we were going if we didn’t chose to eat breakfast at the resort which was not included. We spent six nights here purely down to location. As we left we were refused free transportation back to the ferry port as we booked our boat through an agency and not Palm Leaf. We were charged another 200 thb. Much more customer care needed here.

Amazing place right on the beach in the quieter end of the beach, but still in walking distance to plenty of restaurants. We stayed in a deluxe beach front bungalow 5 meters from the water front and perfect views of both the sea and the bay, not to mention the beautiful sunsets.
