We stayed for 2 Nights and booked 2 Luxury Cottages. The Resort is easy to locate. The check-in was smooth and quickly we were assisted to our rooms. The property layout is quite unique. Rooms were "below" each other in a step like theme, all eventually leading to Pool, Camp Fire and Play area. So, our property was at the top which meant we had very little steps to our room. If you happen to have your room at lower levels, you have to go down and climb a lot of stairs. But, the property clean and properly maintained. The room was very spacious and had a living room and bedroom. Furnitures were maintained well. The bed was extremely comfortable. The restroom was very neat and tidy. It had a closed shower area. Both in Bedroom and Living room, you had windows that lets you access a balcony for beautiful view. If you are on the top room, I think it give you very good view. They had couple of chairs to sit. I read reviews that hotwater was not really hot. I found it to be very hot and was not an issue at all. However, in wash basin we did not get access to hotwater even after keeping the tap open for some time. Room had a pricy mini bar and fully stocked with chips, chocolates and drinks. The other free amenities were ample like coffee and tea powder. They provided us with water bottles. The restroom amenities were basic. One thing that I really bothers me was the Room Heater. We were charges Rs.500/- per night and that too for 12 hours only. So, I was told they will provide you at night and pick it up next day when they come to clean the room. You will have to get it back the next day if you require. I was bothered that I was charged and taken during room service. However, the next day Room service did not come to our room at all. Buffet spread was actually good. They also tasted well and no complaints. The service was excellent and all our needs were catered too. The only issue was, before we could finish our plate, staff cleared the plate. Not once, but twice or thrice. Even the bowls in which I had chocos. That was disappointing. The property has a swimming pool and sadly no climate control. We did take a dip at the pool. Couple of issues, the showers were not working in the pool side. And there were no markings on the depth of the pool. There are two pools - Kids and Adults. Both were maintained well. Campfire is open for all guests. The check-out was smooth but took a while because many were checking out at same time. That gave us time to waltz around the property. Overall, a great stay. Completely beat our expectation. Ofcourse we did face few small issues, but that okay with us. Surely its worth the stay!

During our recent short visit to Kodaikanal, we had a wonderful stay at Kodai Resort. The luxury cottage we stayed in was quite spacious, extremely clean with all the amenities. The adjoining terrace provided a wonderful view of the valley and sunrise, and was our favourite place for the morning and evening tea. The kitchen in the resort provides very good quality food, irrespective of whether its breakfast, buffet dinner or a la carte. The staff in the resort are very helpful and polite in their interactions and always looking to provide a delightful experience to the guests. There are very good amenities in the resort ***** with a good swimming pool and evening bonfire near the pool with music and dance. The travel desk is very helpful and arranged for our pickup and drop from Madurai airport, with good driver and vehicle. We look forward to coming back to Kodai Resort for our future visits.
