Shelter Hostel Malang

Estuve en el restaurante (no en el hostal porque estaba lleno) y la comida me gustó. Tiene una carta amplia y con platos más elaborados de los que se encuentran normalmente por Indonesia. Me dejé las gafas de sol y me las guardaron hasta que pude volver a recogerlas. También me ayudaron a buscar una lavandería que necesitaba con urgencia. Buena gente, recomendaría pasar por ahí

We arrived very late but they were still waiting for us for the check-in. So the staff was very friendly and the hostel facilities were also very nice! The bathroom and the beds were clean as well. We only stayed there for one night so I don’t really know how social it is. Thank you!

This purpose built hostel is well thought out and well run. The bunks are of solid wooden construction, with inner spring mattresses, very comfortable. Each bunk has a light, curtain, socket and small locker (byo padlock). There is a ceiling fan but no a/c, and I didn't miss it in Malang's relatively cool nights. The showers have forceful hot water. A choice of free breakfasts is served in the 1st floor cafe/reception area, good but not filling. The staff are friendly and helpful and keep the place very clean. Location is good, only 8 minutes walk from the train station.

Cute little hostel walking distance to the train station and not too far from the central square. Friendly service and clean amenities.
