When we checked in (Room 120 & 123) on the first day(Oct,4), we repeatedly confirmed with the hotel front desk that we needed to book a dolphin watching activity for us on the morning of October 6. At that time, she replied We were ”already booked” and told that ”we need to leave early at six to see the dolphins”. So, we got up at around five o'clock in the morning on October 6th, and when we arrived at the hotel lobby at six o'clock, we found that there was no driver waiting for us. After asking, I found out that the staff member who checked us in that day did not help us book dolphin watching activities, and there was no way he could help us arrange to go out to sea to see dolphins that day. After that, she came to the restaurant to ”apologise” to us, but she still lied and insisted that we didn't tell her that we needed to book the dolphin watching activity. If that was the case, then why did we get up at five o'clock and meet in the hotel lobby. We felt that this ”apology” was not sincere. It was clearly the hotel staff's fault but she lied and blamed the fault on the guests. It’s not that we can’t forgive she’s mistakes, but we feel that we as guests are not respected by this way of apology. If a group of white people encountered such a problem, would the hotel staff still apologize in this way? Subsequently, we contacted the female employee's supervisor. He only agreed with his employee and did not give us a solution to the problem or a substantive apology. The hotel's staff management style and attitude towards customers who came from afar made us very disappointed. We felt the discrimination against Asians, which made us very uncomfortable, and we will not choose the residence hotel brand again when traveling to other countries and islands in the future.
