Sit back and enjoy stunning views of Lake Atitlan, the surrounding volcanoes, and mountains from all rooms. The open-concept living room, dining room, and fully equipped kitchen with floor-to-ceiling windows have custom-designed furnishing, all hand-crafted by local artisans. Half bath upstairs for comfort and convenience. The tiled master bath with hot water and bedroom with a Queen pillow top mattress guarantee peace and comfort. Wifi is sufficient for watching Netflix or Zoom calls. The neighborhood set above the Silani dock, on the road to Pasacap in San Marcos, is a peaceful and serene place to stay. It's just a short, 7-minute walk from the town center, yet far enough away to escape the noise of churches, bombas, and politics. The area is surrounded by lush greenery and features stunning lake, volcanoes, and mountain views. The quiet atmosphere is perfect for those who seek a peaceful retreat.During your stay, you will have exclusive access to the entire house. The land is owned by a local family who grow food in the outdoor area so that you may come across them outside.Casa Mazat is conveniently located directly off the main road to Pasacap, though the house is tucked into the mountain, so street noise is not an issue. Casa Mazat is a quick 5-minute walk or tuk-tuk ride (Q10 per person) from the town center. Street parking is available, though we recommend you pay for parking (Q50-Q100) in town for security. We are happy to give you contact info for garages in town if you'd like. It is generally safe to walk between San Marcos and Tzununa during the day. However, we do not recommend this walk at night.About pets:No pets allowed.About checkOut:Check out before 11:00 AM.About children:Adults only.About checkIn:Check in after 4:00 PM.About smoking:Smoking allowed: in designated areas.About events:No events allowed.
