Stayed here for a night after 2 nights in Abisko before proceeding to Stockholm. A very comfortable hotel with 70 rooms and another 30 or so nearing completion. Would rate the property more than 3 stars. Breakfast was large and varied and of a good quality. Rooms were decent sized with modern bathrooms. A pool and sauna is also available. Visited the ice hotel and would recommended staying in town to get a flavour of the city. Interesting pubs and food scene.
We only stayed three nights as we were part of a tour group. Would certainly stay again, the staff were very friendly and the cabins very warm in fact we had to turn the heating down as it was too hot!! Bit disappointed with the location as it didn’t seem within walking distance in the snow to the new town and the old town is apparently mainly empty as it’s being relocated. The other disappointment was the blocks of flats looming over part of the site which wasn’t what we expected! One query why don’t you sell milk etc on site?! Seems crazy to have to direct people to the coop?! No information was in the chalets about the shop or the site plan. Info was to a certain amount on the tv or if you scanned a code but not everyone has smart phones! The spa was great, apparently children are only allowed entry at certain times, but we weren’t told that. Also the staff were rather hard to get any information out of and seemed rather miserable but other than that great!!
We found this hotel last night minute before we were sledding in the National Park. Great find, super welcoming, staff really helpful. All you need including a very good breakfast, large sauna and plenty of parking. Supermarket opposite and other shops nearby

Berlin Truly the best glass igloo experience! My partner and I spent 3 nights here, during New Year’s Eve, and we had an incredible time! The igloo is very warm (despite -22 outside) with heating, has a stove with essential utensils and even has a toilet. If you didn’t want to use the toilet, you can use the lounge toilets which are clean and have a shower. The igloo also has speakers with a great bass- perfect for New Year’s Eve celebrations. The highlight was nature’s fireworks on New Year’s Eve… the northern lights. We were very lucky because we know it’s not a guarantee. So if you’re lucky enough you might get to see them too! Tony made sure we were okay through out our stay, heating up the sauna and picking us up/ dropping us off at our next destination. Thank you so much for the BEST stay Aurora RiverCamp.
I’ve wanted to visit since the ice hotel opened. When I read about ice hotel 365 it seemed a must-visit for our summer trip to Lapland. I booked a suite with bathroom, which although quite pricey was a good decision. In the summer the only other building open apart from reception was the restaurant a couple of hundred metres away. Without our bathroom/warm area there would have been nowhere to hang out. Check in was easy and the hotel was very quiet indeed. I’m not sure there was anyone else staying in the cold rooms apart from us. What hits you when you enter (apart from the cold, which isn’t actually too bad) is the muffled silence. It was very peaceful and as a light sleeper I had an unexpectedly good nights sleep. We went to the restaurant, which was excellent. My reindeer fillet was amongst the best meals I’ve eaten in Sweden. After eating we hung out in our warm area for a bit. There are chairs but they are a bit uncomfortable. A sofa would have been nice. We decided to take the plunge and go to bed at about 11. I wasn’t expecting to sleep at all but our ice bed was very comfortable and the sleeping bags really toasty. I did need to get up in the night but was sleeping in slipper socks so it was ok. We didn’t really make use of the room apart from to sleep in. I did find myself asking why we chose to sleep in an ice room. I’m still not sure I can answer that. The downside of the trip and the reason for only 3 stars came when we were leaving. We came back from breakfast around 9.30, packed up and wanted to look around the rest of the rooms and take photos. As I was doing so 2 members of staff came up to me and said the hotel wasn’t open. I explained I was a guest but they said I wasn’t allowed. I asked how I was supposed to check out of my room then and they said check out was at 9am and I should have left by now. Nowhere was this written or explained. I felt really upset that two of them had come to challenge me as if I was some kind of intruder. The art-work is really special and I would have liked to know a bit more but there was no leaflet or guide to explain it. I think there may be a better vibe in the winter but it was a bit of an odd experience for us.
