The Yellow House is basic but very authentic and friendly. Four of us over for a hiking trip got twin rooms, they are cheap and perfect for us. Kitchen is small but usable, close to bus stops and 30mins walk to rail station. Would definitely stay again, the owner is a cool interesting fellow

I chose YellowHouse because I wanted somewhere with some soul, and the price was attractive too. I thought it was excellent. Comfy, large room, with all the amenities I needed, with clean bathrooms and kitchen. It was warm throughout. And excellent value. There are two food shops close by, 5 & 10 minute walks. It made my seeing the Northern Lights possible :)
