The room looked good when we entered. But when the shower mat was used on the bathroom floor to step on and dry yourself it picked up the dirt that was still in the grout between the floor tiles, the entrance into the room was so sticky your shoes stuck to the floor. In the breakfast room while you were eating a cat is allowed to lick up what drops to type floor. This hotel list a pool, it was being worked on last year and is still out of service. The assistant manager refunded for our stay and canceled our second night.

The staff was friendly on check-in. The room looked and smelled clean. They have finished some updates that they started on when we stayed there a few months ago. Henry Marbles, the hotel's resident cat, was there and sweet as always.

I have stayed at this property multiple times over the past few years. This is the second year in a row that I have been here though that the pool has been out of order. Last year it was empty and I believe being refurbished. This year it was full of water and again out of order. I don’t want to go to another hotel for my kids to swim. That’s not convenient. If they can’t get the pool to work, just take it off their list of amenities, because it obviously isn’t working.

I think the staff is kind and friendly, but my room was not what I expected. There were stains on the sheets and pillowcases and a dirty towel had been left on the back of the bathroom door. I only had 3 bath towels, one hand towel, and 2 washcloths. The bathtub had been repaired/repainted on the bottom and when you stood in it to take a shower, it felt like it was sinking in. I did not bother asking to switch rooms, however. This was my third stay here and the first experience where I felt it was not up to par.

When we got to our room it appeared to be in excellent condition. Then we went to the bathroom. There was 1 bath towel, used bar soap box on the floor next to the toilet, and the complimentary toiletries were empty. I went to the front desk to let the attendant know what we had just seen in th room. I asked for the missing items andnI would take them up to our room. She refused to let me and explained that she would deliver them very soon. She allowed me to be the customer and that was very important. The items were delivered within 10 minutes with another apology for the inconvience. The bed was the best bed we have had in a long time. The restnof the jiggt was great and the breakfast bar the next day was above average. Our son, daughter in law and Granddaughter live in Kirksville and webhave stayed at almost every decent ( and some not-so-decent) hotels in town. We now have a home away from home when visiting from now on.

The paint was peeling off the walls in the bathroom. There was a used wash cloth left on the shower head from a previous renter. The bed sunk in the middle making you roll to the middle. The breakfast was not good. The carpet was stained.

Older but clean. Nice people. Outside entry door doesn’t always latch, allowing someone to enter building w/o a key… not cool

We were in Kirksville for a college event. The staff was polite, the room was clean, and there was a decent variety of things to eat at breakfast. Check-in and check-out went quickly and smoothly.

Broken toilet. Bugs everywhere on floor. Hair all over tub in bathroom. Overall very dirty and run down property.
