皇冠加特飯店

We stayed at the Crown and Garter to kick off our Test Way expedition. It’s about as close as you can stay to the start (which is 2 miles away and steep climb!). Everything about our stay was exemplary. The staff were genuinely warm, highly personable and welcoming, going above and way beyond to help us - a perfect example of exceeding guest expectations. The room was very comfortable with modern decor and amenities as well as a plentiful supply of toiletries and teas/coffees. We ate both dinner and breakfast. These were reasonably priced, arrived promptly, good portion sizes and delicious. All in all we can thoroughly recommend everything about it. It is far and away the best accommodation of this type that I have stayed in. Thank you C&G, keep doing what you’re doing: it works!

Very clean hotel with good food.

Trop bien Super beau et très bien installé

Sehr sehr nettes Personal, Super Preis- Leistungsverhältnis, sehr schön eingerichtet, gemütlich, gutes Essen

The place was easy to find and well sign posted tonthe reception area. I was greetwd by a lovely lady who showed me to my room and explained everything from breakfast time, the WiFi password to the adjustment of the temperature. The room was beautifully arranged and decorated with a separate entry hall, cupboard, large bathroom, which was stocked with complimentary hair and body wash. The outside/courtyard area for thw guests was well maintained and looked like a lovely place to sit in the summer. The food at the restaurant was well prepared and presented. I can recommend their seasoned fries! I was really impressed by all of the staff here, the level of service and just how well the rooms were set out and maintained. It was a very peaceful and pleasurable stay.

Lovely location, clean and well appointed rooms around a courtyard. Nice evening meal

Room was lovely . Clean spacious high tech fittings warm and some lovely bathroom accessories. Alex the manager went over and above to make us feel welcome as did Rebecca on arrival . The food was really delicious by chef Rag Thank you for our Christmas stay and we’ll be back. Doro Jillings

Another great stay at the Crown & Garter. Friendly helpful check in & room was very comfortable & spotless as usual. Had a meal with family in the evening & can definitely recomnend eating here - food is excellent, using local ingredients. Had bacon rolls to takeaway on checkout, which was a nice surprise. Looking forward to our next stay - we wouldn't go anywhere else when visiting the area.

Great team, fab food and lovely location.
