Viaggio in famiglia, prima tappa di un tour di una settimana. Siamo restati tre notti ma saremmo rimasti di più. Punto ideale di partenza per tante escursioni, posizione veramente buona. Le camere sono pulitissime e molto curate, non manca nulla. I proprietari gentilissimi, ti fanno sentire veramente a casa tua. Colazione preparata sul momento davvero buonissima. Nella zona ci sono diversi locali dove mangiare, il paesino è molto tranquillo ma non manca di nulla. Stra consigliato

Stayed here one night during a long and tiring trip back to Norfolk. Very engaging and welcoming owners, who made a real fuss of our greyhound - she loved it here! - wonderfully comfortable beds, and a great breakfast. Will definitely return next time we're in this neck of the woods.

Firstly the room was warm and clean. The hotel was clean and attractive The owner is shocking and rude !!! Very opinionated and personal attacks. We specified arrival of AROUND 9pm arrived at 9.17pm and were told we were late. Having asked to buy a drink my partner was offered a free drink as they don’t have a license. He has then been called a freeloader.

We decided to break our trip back to Edinburgh in Kingussie. I looked on TripAdvisor and quickly read a couple of reviews on the Osprey Hotel in Kingussie. What a very, very cute hotel this is!! Built around 1844, Des and Sinead have done the most amazing job tastefully restoring this cute building. There were fresh flowers in the hallway when you walked in. We stayed in room 1, The room was really lovely with a very, very comfortable bed, had the best sleep! They were refurbishing the kitchen at the time we were there, but Sinead had organized a place for dinner and breakfast which wasn’t a problem at all. Thank you Sinead for looking after the 4 of us during our very short stay!! We will be back, the 4 of us had a fantastic stay!

This was our first visit back at the Osprey Hotel after it had been severely damaged by water from leaking pipes last winter. We were hugely impressed with all the reconstruction and renovation work that the owners have accomplished. The hotel is now welcoming and spotlessly clean. Des and Sinead are truly amazing hosts. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they make all guests feel 'at home' and welcome. Until the renovations are complete the hotel is not able to serve breakfast but they have an arrangement with another establishment just a couple of hundred metres away which serves delightful breakfasts. Rooms are very comfortable and have all needed for a stay. We have already booked two return visits!

The hosts of this distinctive, hotel went above and beyond. The room was so comfortable and well equipped and as for the bed, to say it was comfortable is an understatement! Best nights sleep we've ever had in a hotel. Can't fault anything, we highly recommend this hotel.

I booked at very short notice and Des could not have been more helpful in accomodating me. I had a lovely well furnished room with a great facilities and even a place to leave a bike inside instead of on the back of my parked car. There was a lovely ambience, with other guests chatting. Sinead served up a wonderful breakfast fit for a King. I would highly recommend this Hotel. It is ideally situated just off the A9 arterial route in Northern Scotland.

So I booked the Osprey Hotel - I was on a 7 day riding holiday in the Highlands and wanted to stop off overnight on my way back from Ullapool to Edinburgh to break my journey. Apparently "Des at the Osprey" had been trying to call me and text me since the morning of my arrival to see when I would arrive. I was on the back of a horse all day, in torrential rain (phone in a plastic bag inside jodhpurs and waterproofs), with absolutely no signal. Soaking wet and cold I finally hit a signal on my way back down the road and received missed call alerts and texts - so I called the hotel. Des shouted at me and was extremely rude and even although I apologised several times he was very angry that I hadn't answered my phone. He was so rude and abusive that I hung up and waited a few minutes before calling back. When I called back he started shouting at me again and telling me that it was bully for me that I had been on a horse in the rain and I should have been able to answer and that I should consider the fact that he works 14 hour days and isn't here just for me and to wait for my call!!! I asked him to please stop shouting and he said that it was just his voice and that I should turn my volume on the phone down....... it was not! Customer service (not) and his manner was extremely rude. He then told me not to bother coming and that he would cancel me as I was gong to be too late. I said but he had taken my money and I was on my way. He said in a nasty way that he hoped I managed to find someone else who would let me stay in a room on a Sunday night at this time........ So they charged me full price although they actually cancelled on me..... Then I had to drive all the way down to Edinburgh wet and cold as I had nowhere else to go. So, a very rude and angry man and I would definitely not recommend anyone to pay to stay there! Might be a nice hotel but zero customer service and maybe it was just a scam to get my money, maybe they do that to everyone!

Traditional B & B located on a corner plot in the pleasant town of Kingussie in the Scottish Highlands. Bedroom and facilities a bit dated and in need of some modernisation. Parking is either on the road side, or at nearby hotels (if they have space). A bit basic for £150 per night room only with breakfast extra.
