Friendly service-tick Clean room-tick Comfort-tick Walking distance to town-tick Restaurant-tick, tick, tick-outstanding We stayed in the pet friendly room, which they kindly arranged to be ready very early for us as we were there very early. The staff were incredibly welcoming, the room was spotless and comfortable. We had dinner from the motel restaurant, this was not standard motel food, this was high quality restaurant food-just amazing. Even if you’re not staying in the motel, eat at the restaurant! Overall we had a brilliant experience here.

We arrived late in the day and the owner checked us in with a smile and happy conversation. The room was very clean, comfortable and included undercover car storage especially with all the recent storms.

We booked two rooms here and had a great weekend. Large air conditioned rooms and bathrooms with everything you could need (hair dryer, soap, shampoo, conditioner, shaving cream, body wash etc). There's also a pool to cool off in. Close to cafes and shops, which is nice. The Managers Chriss and Dave were lovely and looked after us right from when we booked to when we checked out. We would definitely stay here again.

Had an enjoyable stay. The surrounding area was clean and tidy. The rooms were clean and tidy. Our room had the very basic which was perfectly fine as it was a quick stay. Room service available for breakfast. No in-room service to cook dinners (might be in other rooms). But close to shops, restaurants, parks. (walking distance). Pool was clean and tidy. The parking was a bit hard to exit would be our only negative, as we couldn't manouver easily. If they opened the gate it would be easier to exit.

Lovely clean spacious room. Extremely comfortable huge king bed with decent pillows! Great size bathroom, good water pressure and temperature. Staff were great and the meal we ordered from room service was 5-star restaurant quality. Very good value for money overnight stay. Can't fault Ascot Lodge and would definitely recommend and stay there again.

Large spacious room with comfortable beds, and within walking distance of the town centre. Friendly, very helpful staff. The motel has a restaurant, and the owner did his best to convince us it was worth eating in. Being too tired to get in the car and drive some where we decided to try it. What a good decision. Excellent meals, properly cooked at reasonable prices. What a little gem!
