Had a fantastic weekend break with my husband and 87 year old parents. Everything about this place is great. Both couples had garden suites which had lovely views of the lake and were very well appointed. Exceptional customer service and would be hard to single out one person as all were at the right level of attentive. Dinner was included and did not disappoint with wide choice and high quality. Can’t wait to return.

Booked a table for 9 for my mum and dad's 60th wedding anniversary. I had to amend th e original booking and the deputy GM Richard was very helpful. We had an evening meal and the food was superb. They looked after mum and dad and all of us (6 adults and 3 children) and made us feel special. An amazing experience in a winderful environment. Highly recommended.

Speaking on behalf of myself and my family, our time was well spent in the Armathwaite Hall Hotel and Spa. From the massage treatments, the spa facilities, the amazing food and wonderful staff, we walked away with both smiles and frowns on our faces, as we had such an lovely time that we didn't want to leave so soon. The resident cat was also a delight. A massive thank you to Richard and his tremendous staff, we most definitely plan to visit again.

Visited Armathwaite Hall with 2 friends and had a lively afternoon tea. The staff were friendly and relaxed but totally professional and quietly efficient. The tea was really good and it was a great treat for my friend who required gluten free to have a truly excellent choice including a top notch scone! It really made the experience a day to remember .

Booked a hotel and spa package a while ago and the communication straight after was excellent. Contact from the spa and advice on the right package as this was a surprise break for part of my wife’s 50th birthday celebrations. On arrival the hotel and grounds look stunning and we were greeted by smiling reception staff who had upgraded the room for us, thank you for doing this. The loft room was superb as was the whole experience, restaurant service, bar service and any passing staff always had a smile. The spa experience was just fantastic and the massage from Julie and Olivia expertly delivered. To finish off we decided to visit the adjacent Lake District wildlife park, again a great experience. Thank you to all staff and management for making this stay so special for my wife.

We booked two nights, bed, breakfast and evening meal - 920 pounds which included a 50 pounds per person per night allowance in the restaurant. Booked as Armathwaite Hall was often considered the best in the lake district. First the positives - The staff were friendly and helpful Beautiful location The food was well cooked and presented. But..... On arrival we went to book spa treatments - None were available. First night meal - restaurant ticket signed for 118 pounds. Second night meal - restaurant ticket signed for 105 pounds. On checkout presented with an extras bill of 52 pounds instead of the 23 we were expecting. We were told that alcohol was not included in the 50 allowance. At best I feel this is sharp practice - bordering on a scam! So, there is no way we will be returning or recommending to our friends. Poor value for money and left with a feeling of being cheated and a hotel not living up to expectations. Never again!
