This is a charming place. We were upgraded on arrival to a suite so that was a real bonus! The hostess called on us to make sure we were happy. Great to have so much space, if only for one night. We ate in the next door restaurant for both dinner and breakfast. Merci Carol.

the accommodation was quite clean and comfortable BUT RECEPTION was TERRIBLE after a four-hour car trip, was told the manager/owner "is coming" and 5 minutes later again "I SAID she's coming, here's her handbag !!!" and I merely replied that the handbag does also not seem willing to talk to me ..... on leaving this morning when we had to return the keys to the restaurant, the lady was exceptionally hostile and very clearly racist - my partner is also from Africa - and some of the locals snickered and shook their heads ..... we simply CAN NOT recommend this place to anyone ..... how terribly, terribly UN-CANADIAN !!! The moment we entered the room we were assaulted with a dank musty smell. The decor, from the 1980’s could use some updating. Too much clutter with knick knacks EVERYWHERE. The mattress appeared to be comfy but it was like laying down in a canoe….all night long rolling towards the middle. Checkin is at the restaurant next door to the BnB so the restaurant staff were hurried and we felt like we were bothering them as they were bringing out food and and taking payment from their diners. There was no privacy checking in as you’re in the midst of many diners. Definitely NOT a good fit for us!
