古騰費爾斯堡

Nous avons séjourné 1 nuit en octobre. Très bon accueil. Endroit fantastique, nous sommes hors du temps. La chambre très bien. Literie très bonne. Très propre. Salle des petits-déjeuners fabuleuse. Petit-déjeuner superbe, fruits frais, fromages, charcuteries, smoothies, oeufs, que du frais. Pleins de petits endroits dans le château, des petits jardins, des petits coins sympas pour lire. Une pièce reprenant un bar, un piano, une immense bibliothèque, des jeux, est libre accès. Sauna à réserver. Salle de bain ok, franchement merveilleux séjour. Promenades dans les vignes juste à côté du château. Nous cherchons mais ne trouvons pas de négatif

We stayed for two nights in a lovely quiet double room, owners were lovely and very helpful. Breakfast in the Knights hall was also great and included. Fabulous views. A few tips, drive to main door to unload, less the better, if you have a big suitcase don’t drag it up the long way and many steps to reception , there is a closer lift and fewer steps. Our room was lovely but weather was hot and no fan, also a bar fridge would have been great. However overall highly recommended. Deutsches Inn below good meals.

Not impressed on arriving. Road to castle in poor condition and a nightmare to drive. Reception was cold at best. The room was not worth the money charged, large enough but rather smelly. The dining room was totally empty at dinner time and upon examining the menu (no prices listed) we determined it to be mostly coldcuts. Upon retiring for the night we found the bed to be crawling with bed bugs. Immediately packed up and sought the manager ( all this at 10:30 at night). We were blamed for leaving the windows open (bed bugs do not fly!). She then said that she didn't know what we were talking about but that the mattresses were new. Another person offered to go and look at the bed with my husband. Upon their return she reported to the manager that there were indeed bed bugs and our money was unhappily refunded. Drove for over an hour before we found anything open and that had rooms available. Stay away from the Castle Hotel Burg Gutenfels.
