The entrance that looks like a suburban house was not promising but the Orchard Cottage turned out to be better than expected. It is in an area that seems like suburbia when approached from one direction but is actually full of fancy and expensive restaurants when approached another way. My flight was very early and I was grateful that they allowed an early check in although I had to wait a while for the room to be cleaned. The room, when I eventually got in, was small but clean and had all that I needed. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was pretty standard. There was no hot water in the sink and it took a long time to come through to the shower but once it did there was plenty for a piping hot bathe. The wifi worked very well and there were no power outages which is not always the case anywhere in Pakistan. The room came with a simple breakfast that was mostly made to order. Pity about the instant coffee but there are a couple of coffee shops about 10 minutes walk away for those who want a proper caffeine fix. All in all the Orchard Cottage turned out to be better than it looked and was secure with the front gate generally locked and a security guard posted. I would be happy to stay there again in the future.

Great location in Clifton. Lots of good quality higher end restaurants on your doorstep - Fuschia, Xanders, Café Flo. Decent rooms for the price with good security overall. Buffet breakfast. Kunal is really kind and helpful and will make special requests for you. Especially if your stomach isn't so good. Air con, WiFi. Not far from the beach and Dolmen mall. You can get them to send your laundry out.
