大山飯店(The Grand Hills)

Petit déjeuner copieux Accueil : on avait l'air de déranger à l'arrivée. Personnels fuyant et inexistant. Ne propose pas de serviettes pour la piscine, alors qu'il y en avait ( superbe vue de notre chambre sur les étendoir. Chambre sale ,sommier taché,pas de protège matelas. Dîner à commander, menu en dollars. 4$ un petit bol de soupe 😭 Très éloigné de tout. Je déconseille fortement

Ветхий отель с прогнившей электрикой. Отсутствие света здесь это норма, мало того, что лампочки вкручены не везде, так и попытки исправить это сотрудники отеля превратили в короткое замыкание. Которое исправить так и не смогли и испортили мне целый день. Так как я была вынуждена сидеть в номере, как охранник, и ждать, пока они попытаются исправить это. К слову, если нет электричества - нет интернета, нет кондиционера, нет света! В этой стране спать ночью без кондиционера или хотя бы вентилятора невозможно. Просила вернуть деньги за испорченный последний день - отказали. А после моего отъезда они закрыли мое бронирование на букинге, якобы меня вообще не было в их богодельне. О многом говорит их поведение. Отвратительное отношение к гостям. Не тратьте своё время и деньги на это место!

The worst experience in our 3weeks tour. They didn't want to check in us because they are full, but we had reservation. After a long discuss we got a room which is not clean and there were insects, geccos and cockroaches. They asked prepayment so we didn't received the amount when we checked out earlier when we planned. There weren't hospitality there wasn't clean, it is humiliaton of sri lanka and its hospitality.

The hotel is situated up the mountains and our room has a balcony overlooking the beautiful mountain scenery of Kandy. It's only 20 minutes away from the town proper and is a perfect getaway from a buzzing city. No mosquitoes at all in the room which is a plus 🌟 James is a star hotel manager! Cons: The mattress was not the best and we had thin covers to use for the night. The cold didn't bother us but I would recommend asking for another cover if you are easily cold. Bring your own face towels and toothbrush/ toothpaste - we bought ours from the city. Unsure if the hotel will provide this if asked. The sign going to the hotel is a bit high-up for drivers to see. Menu prices are in dollars for easy reference. The spa is not in the hotel and they can arrange this for you. I would recommend installing PickMe app to book tuktuks and taxis instead of asking the hotel for arrangements. It is a steep road to the hotel so we always booked taxis going back to the hotel. Overall recommended if you would not or rather not go to the city during your stay in Kandy 🌟

Ik kan me voorstellen dat dit hotel vroeger fantastisch was! Grote kamer, mooi uitzicht! Helaas volledig niet onderhouden! Vieze kamers, vieze lucht! Stapel vieze handdoeken zichtbaar in een open ruimte. Op de trap naar boven wisten we al dat het geen succes zou zijn!! Zonde!

I came for the view and it was super! The staff is really great and going above and beyond to make the stay satisfactory. I liked my stay here overall

Pros: 1. Excellent view 2. Hospitable attending staff (except the owner) Cons: 1. Very steep access road (our mini bus couldn't climb up the steep road making it difficult to walk up n down especially if you have kids. 2. Property has a private van but chargeable. 3. You can find a few cockroaches in the rooms. 4. Room no.1 bathroom door cannot be locked (instead of repairing it, there was a hand written poster saying 'do not lock the door as it cannot be opened from inside'

Excellent place to stay. I treat 25 family members for dinner at this place and it was very well organized and supported by the Buffett staff. The went above and beyond supporting me to accomplish this gathering.

Quite, secluded with photo opportunistic seekers, the room I stayed was spacious and clean, included a balcony with scenic view of pool and mountain range. The bathroom was roomy (enough shower space for 2). Hotel has pool (4ft deep), and it was clean on my visit. Recommended for adventure seekers, and those who want peace and tranquility. The only bad part is hotel is a bit of a journey to main road, (having Pickme app recommend).
