We stayed at the property to celebrate my wife's birthday and our post-wedding holiday. I had requested a small birthday cake with a message this was shared in advance, at check-in, and again at the restaurant. Despite repeated reminders, the cake was only delivered after I called AYS at 11:50 PM, and even then, it arrived without the message. It was clear the team was not aligned, and the service felt reactive and disinterested. The experience at Madikeri Café was equally disappointing. We had to move indoors from the outdoor seating because no one attended to us, despite multiple follow-ups. Food was average, we finished our drinks by 10:30 PM, and went to pickup main course from buffet and some buffet items were not replenished. The chef seemed unaware and unprepared. The only highlight was the room, room cleanliness and the resort’s ambience. Unfortunately, the service did not match the expectations, making the overall experience underwhelming and not worth recommending.
