Genuinely 5* Humura is close to Mulago Hill which was perfect for us as we were working on a global health partnership with the Uganda Cancer Institute. The en suite rooms are clean and spacious with comfortable double beds with effective mosquito nets and aircon. WiFi is good enough for working, it was a pleasure to sit up on the covered terrace in the evenings to finish tasks from the day and the business spaces looked great for more formal meetings. We even peeked at the suite which had a beautiful bedroom, seating area and work room. Food was available at any time from early morning until late at night. There was a breakfast buffet with fruit, granola and a few cooked items that varied each day like samosas, cabalagara, toast, bacon, cooked bananas. Avocado so delicious I ate it every day! Eggs on request. The pool was cool and welcoming and there were plenty of spaces to sit and relax in the sun or shade. There is a small gym which I didn't investigate but saw others using :-) All of the staff were warm and kind and made us feel like honoured guests in their home. Because there are not hundreds of rooms we got to know individuals and we received a very personalised experience. The style of the hotel was Ugandan and it was a welcome change from the generic upscale chain hotels. The area felt safe and it was easy to walk or get an Uber (or a Boda Boda for more fun!) Thanks to Duomi, Katherine, Ivan and everyone else who made our trip so perfect!

The best hotel there is in Kampala. The best hospitality ever. I love the place , the ambiance is amazing as well , great location and food ! It’s very close to the city center and nice bars and the museum! I really recommend the place! And good view from the rooms

Es war alles in Ordnung, ein sehr gutes Bett, eine wirklich heiße Dusche und ein ganz tolles, freundliches, hilfsbereites und sympathisches Personal. Ich war nicht das erste Mal hier und ich werde wieder kommen!

Wonderful relaxing environment, lovely food, extremely helpful staffing in all areas. People couldn’t do enough to help.

Établissement très tranquille, à l'abri de toutes vues extérieures, dans un milieu très verdoyant. Tout est calme et reposant. Chambre très spacieuse. Décoration type art africain partout faisant rayonner le continent. Merci pour l'accueil de la réceptionniste et de l'excellent dîner concocté par la chef cuisinière...

This is a small but essentially nice hotel in central Kampala. It seems it has seen better days though. It is clearly over priced. - Light in the bathroom was not working properly - No hot water in the shower in the morning - Bed clothing was not clean - Dirty water in the pool - Breakfast prepared on order takes very long time I paid 138 USD for one room/night including breakfast. 80 USD would have been the highest acceptable price in my opinion. This could be a very nice hotel if it was well-maintained and well-managed. Possibly the high ratings on TripAdvisor are old. The diplomas from different rating sites in the reception were from 2017 or older.
