初めてのホテルだが、評価も高かったので、宿泊してみることにした。到着時は、周りは緑に溢れ、かなり期待値が高かったのだが、部屋に入って驚いた。 清潔でシンプルな部屋はむしろ好きだが、あまりに殺風景で、トイレバスに至っては、まるで刑務所のよう。 ペーパーフォルダーは壊れたまま放置、洗面台にハンドタオルはなく、アメニティーは一切なし。 多くの旅行者は、自前で準備しているので問題ないと思うが、大抵は手を洗うための石鹸は置いてあるがそれもなし。 トイレットペーパーはタンクの上に直置き、他はとにかく何もない。 電気ポットと水は500mlが1本あった。これは良かった。 アフリカやUganda を連想させる飾りや、絵画を飾っているホテルも多いが、部屋には何もない。 部屋に入って、すぐにこのホテルを予約したことを後悔した。部屋にあるタオルはバスタオル1枚のみ。ペラペラのバスタオルでホテルで見たことがないほど薄く、間違って置かれているのではないかと、何度も目を疑った。 同様のタオルがバスマットとして、2つ折りで床に置かれていたので、非常に心配になったほどである。 トイレに設置されている洗浄ノズルは壊れて水がでない。 2泊を予約してしまったので、そのまま滞在したが、チェックアウトまで清掃には誰もこなかった。 部屋の鍵はカードキーではなく、昔ながらの差し込んで回す鍵だ。非常に固く、女性やお年寄りには難しい。鍵が掛かったか分かりづらく、セキュリティ面でも非常に心配。 良かった点は 1敷地内にショップがあり、水が買えること 2シャワーからお湯が出たこと 3充電のための差し口が机の下にあったこと。 ウガンダで50泊以上した経験からこの価格を支払うなら他にホテルはいくらでもあると感じた。 私はカンパラで二度と来たくないと感じた初めてのホテルでした。 予約クラスは、プロモーションの一番安いものではありません。私が宿泊した部屋がたまたま不具合が多かったのでしょう。

Friendly staff and a good breakfast. Happy they have tea/coffee making in room which is very rare in Uganda. Nice gym area and have been creative with outdoors making it a nice place for computer work or chatting to friends.

Very nice place at a great location. Staff was very friendly and adjustable (we had an early 6 am a la carte breakfast), they also gave us a free breakfast with our early check in the first day. Room was clean and tidy. Restaurant was great, buffet breakfast was very good. Location is good in a safe area - you'll be using Uber to get around Kampala anyway so it doesn't really make much sense to be right in the centre of the city.

I stayed at the Explorers Hub for one night at the end of my three week safari trip through Rwanda/Uganda and was truly positively surprised by the great value for money! The team of the hotel and adjacent restaurant was very friendly and attentive, the room (with A/C) spacious and clean, the shower had great water pressure, wifi was stable and breakfast (and dinner) were copious and delicious. I wish more places in Uganda lived up to these standards! Only a minor criticism from a holiday-maker who wants to sleep in: I appreciate a clean environment but I woke up from the slightly excessive sweeping in the courtyard in front of my room, which commenced around 7.30am.

We stayed in Kampala for 5 days as we attended a friend's wedding. Staying at Explorers Hub made everything easy, they arranged the transportation from Entebbe airport and had a beautiful clean room waiting for us even though we didn't get to the hotel until midnight. The staff was top notch through our stay. It is extremely convenient that they have an AWESOME farm to table restaurant where breakfast is served. The hotel is very well located, next to an amazing Thai restaurant (Tamarai). We didn't travel with our kids, but I could see our 2 and 5 year olds enjoying this place. They also helped us getting laundry done and arranging activities around Kampala. We truly recommend it
