I had read mixed recent reviews about the hotel. Our stay was booked as part of a tour package. So we couldn’t change. But for 1-2 nights, as long as you know what you’re getting, it’s bearable. In general, the hotel is very much in need of renovations and appears quite run down. This is maybe a 2 star hotel, at best. On the up side the air con worked and we had hot water. But for the most part the room we were given, 2nd floor and near the stairs, was in bad shape. The wardrobe doors, the fridge, and the safe were all removed. The walls have marks on them and one night stand had the top peeling away. The linens and towels were clean and thankfully didn’t smell but they looked like they’ve been in circulation for a long time. The bathroom was not dirty, dirty but also not super clean; the sink leaked underneath and the shower head hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. We also came during a holiday period and discovered the walls are quite thin. We could hear loud noise from above and from the hallway / lobby area. If you’re sensitive to noise you may want to ask for a room further from the stairs. As someone else said, you don’t stay here for a luxe experience. There seems to be some new resorts in the area that will give you that.
