I would like to express my gratitude to Mr. Lisgaris and the entire staff team at the recently refurbished Evanik Chic Hotel, in Pothia the capital of Kalymnos Island. I feel that great care and attention was taken when considering the fixtures, fittings to enhance the overall luxurious feel and aesthetic appeal of this modern boutique hotel. The rooms are well set out, comfortable and always kept spotlessly clean thanks to the hard work of the housekeeping team. I found all the staff to be exceptionally helpful and always happy to share their local knowledge of restaurants and other dining options. Anastasia and Irene in particular suggested other interesting local places to visit on a daily basis (Vathis valley, Kantouni, Masouri and Emporios to name a few). This courtesy was appreciated because it made the whole holiday a more pleasurable experience. George (the chef) provided a delightful breakfast menu with so many mouth watering choices. The incredible edibles were all delicious and very well presented. The tireless hard work of Kalotina was a delight to behold. Her cheerful yet understated dedication to provide the highest standard of customer care for the hotel certainly deserves recognition. She always made the extra effort to make each guests stay more memorable. Theo her colleague also made the guests feel welcomed and I would like to thank him for our conversation's and introducing me to the delights of Iced Coffee. I thoroughly recommend this hotel, its pleasant staff plus its location just 5 minutes from the highlife of the main port. Go visit, and enjoy a fabulous laid back Mediterranean experience.

Very pleasant stay in the middle of Pothia. Good service, helpfull personell, easy to communicate in English. Small but nice room with excellent bed. Good breakfast buffee. Nice athmosphere. We can recommend this hotel - it was value for money.

Simple but convenient hotel. We stayed on ground floor and had small terrace opening on side street. When having cheese and wine for small dinner had cat family visiting. So shared our cheese with kittens.Price included simple breakfast as well.

We recently returned from the Evanik Chic Hotel after a lovely weeks stay in the lively but charming port of Pothia. Absolutely beautiful small hotel, fully refurbished this year to a very high standard. We booked a junior suite with outdoor terrace and jacuzzi and are so glad we did. The suite was amazing with everything you could want for a comfortable luxurious stay. Huge room with super king size comfortable bed and gorgeous fluffy pillows, the most comfortable bed we have ever had on holiday! Large sofa, modern bathroom fittings, bathrobes, flip flops and slippers. Mini bar on terrace (extra cost) complete with ice making machine. Two TV's one inside and another out on the wall on the terrace. Coffee pod machine, kettle, 2nd mini fridge in room. Quality toiletries and towels and tea and coffee pods etc were replenished daily. The large Jacuzzi was amazing, it was in the sun until late afternoon and the huge king size comfy sunbed on the terrace was lovely to relax on in the sun. This was a bonus as the hotel does not have a pool. Anastasia the manager was exceptional, she works so hard and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was the best. She is an asset to the hotel and they are very lucky to have her. All of the staff were lovely, so friendly and attentive, she has a great team. Breakfast was very good, plenty of choice, always freshly cooked and nicely presented. I celebrated a special birthday whilst we were there and Anastasia arranged for George to make me a birthday cake which we found in our room on returning from the day which was a lovely surprise and very yummy. Sorry I didn't get to thank you in person George. Pothia is a great base from which to explore this unspoilt island, the hotel is in a great location close to the sea and all the bars and restaurants.We managed to explore most of the island in two days on a quad bike which Anastasia kindly arranged for us. We loved the North of the island particularly Emporios, we had a lovely lunch in one of the beach front tavernas and the food was amazing. Vathy is also lovely, however it does get very busy with all the day trip boats. Our favourite beach was Vlihadia, small and unspoilt, lovely in September but apparently very busy in July and August. We would definitely return to Kalymnos, Pothia was a great base from which to explore and if we do return we would most certainly stay at the Evanik again. Thank you Anastasia and all your team for making my birthday trip one of the best stays we have had anywhere in the world.

Since we retired in March we have been constantly travelling and have stayed in numerous hotels across the USA and Europe. This island hopping trip around the Dodecanese was the final leg of our travels and as they say “save the best till last”. This is an exceptional boutique hotel that reopened in early July 2024 after a major refurbishment. The specification and quality of the work is outstanding and we booked directly with the Hotel and stayed in one of the Junior Suites, as we thought it would be nice to treat ourselves at the end of the trip. Anastasia the Hotel Manager gave us a lovely warm welcome and escorted us to Room 111, all we can say is “Wow”. Often the pictures you see on websites and in brochures can mislead you, this was the opposite,as the room was beautiful with sliding doors opening out to an outside covered patio with hot tub, very large padded sun-bed, bar area, dining area and a flat screen TV. Needless to say we made great use of this during our stay. The bar and breakfast/restaurant area is also lovely, again made even more special by the staff we met during our stay including lovely Katotina ( hope I have got this right as it may be Katolina) and Theo who must be the most intelligent man in Kalymnous as he also supports the mighty reds (YNWA Theo). A mention also for the very smiley man laying out the fantastic buffet breakfast. As a bonus you can also use the facilities of the lovely sister hotel, Kantouni Bay, which we did and again we received a lovely welcome, exceptional service at the pool bar and a lovely lunch. A great setting by the sea with a lovely infinity pool. Car hire is quite cheap and we toured this beautiful island and did the short ferry trip to Telendos Island as well. A new hotel in this group may open next year
