Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve Apartments

Wir waren im Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve für einen kurzen Aufenthalt zu Gast. Der Empfang war sehr freundlich. Wir haben eine schöne, geräumige, sehr saubere Cabin bekommen, das Auto konnten wir direkt davor parken. Die Cabin war zusätzlich mit einer Heizung und einer Kühl-/Gefrierkombination ausgestattet. Die Waschräume und Gemeinschaftsküche waren sehr sauber, fliessend warmes/ heisses Wasser immer verfügbar. Das Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve liegt direkt am Meer und in der Nähe zum Abel Tasman Nationalpark. Wir können das Kaiteriteri Recreation Reserve wirklich empfehlen.

This review is of the camping ground where we stayed in a caravan in a front road site. The views are outstanding and very close to the beach. The facilities are clean, showers are free but only last 6 minutes. You have to press a button on a panel which is outside the door. I found this a pain it would be better if the button was on the door itself. The real fruit ice creams are very yummy. The downside for us was the pathetic internet. Supposed to be able to get 1gb per day for free, but the signal is so weak, that you can't even log on 99% of the time. In other paid campgrounds we have been to over the past two years or so, you have been allowed 10gb a day for free, and can even stream movies etc. All we wanted to do was browse a few sites like Stuff, Facebook etc, absolutely hopeless. Yes I know there are a lot of other things to do besides surf the web, but for some of us we enjoy doing that in the evening.

We stayed here with our teenage kids in a spacious 2 bedroom apartment following a 4 day hike. It felt like paradise after the DOC huts. The amenities were impressive clean and comfortable. Apartments are conveniently located above the grocery store and the beach is just across the beach. I would definitely consider staying here again.
