There is a village society tepee on the farm’s land where guests are free to go to roast sausages or brew coffee over an open fire. In winter there are 2-8 km long maintained ski trails nearby. At Purnu you can experience the exhilarating speed of downhill skiing. It is also easy to reach the national snowmobile trail network from the cottage. The Juurlahti cottage is also known as “The Cobbler’s” because here the village cobbler used to live with his family, making sure the villagers were well-shod. The cottage yard area receives evening sunshine and the swimming shore deepens suitably gently. There is a rowing boat on the shore in which guests can go fishing for fat perch near the small island, then return to the shore to grill the fish on a grill. The Juurlahti cottage has a garden swing; its terrace has a table and a set of chairs. Right next to the cottage there is excellent berry and mushroom picking terrain, which is also ideal for rambling in general.
