good hotel

The staff and breakfast are really great. The location of the hotel in the city is pretty good, you are right in the center and can walk to almost everywhere. Fantastic. The hotel is older and our room was therefore not particularly attractive. The furniture and bathrooms really need to be renovated. Mold and limescale have already formed on the shower edges. That means that it hasn't been cleaned thoroughly for a while. The blackout curtains have lots of small holes, which doesn't look very fresh. The staff should show the same attention to detail in the rooms as at the reception or in the breakfast restaurant. Based on my experience, the price is too high. But I would stay in this hotel again. If you want a good example, there is the Scandic Elmia in the same city, which is in better shape. The disadvantage is that it is 3km away from the center.

不要指望在夜總會關門前睡覺。感覺就像睡在街上。門衛根本沒興趣提供任何解決方案，只是說「我們在城裡」。在其他城市的飯店從來沒有遇到這樣的問題。我付出的代價卻毀了我的睡眠。設施破舊不堪。友善的早餐人員。

Comfortable room, spacious, great beds, location, a little noisy during night because of its central position. But good if you just staying for the night and if it’s when you want to be near the central of Jönköping

Good location. Near everything. Friendly staff. Breakfast is more than enough. Bar in lobby. Access to a commercial gym, and a small own gym own by Portalen. Access to garage via elevator where you can checkout.

Hotel needs renovation immediately, absolutely worse hotel we have ever been around europe. So undated: every single thing, windows, floors, air condition, bathroom, beds, mold under painting, no fresh air, socks get to stuck on the floor. Not Scandic level hotel at all. I cannot recommed for stay on night. Breakfast was good. Huge dissapointment. Staff was friendly, but only one of them spoke english.

This was my second stay in last 2 years, not a very great experience. 1. I was staying for 21 nights, still your customer care didn’t care to upgrade, even after email complaints. 2. Scandic portalen, doesn’t provide Tea or Coffee in room or common area as part of stay. 3. Pillows were so small that you can’t dig your head in properly. Complained at reception, not worked. 4. No weighing scale in Hotel. 5. No weighing scale in Hotel. 6. No nail clipper. 7. No Toiletries. PROS 1. The only good thing was good variety at Breakfast and courtesy of staff at Breakfast. 2. And location of Scandic Portalen, which is close to Train Station , Bus stop and Town Center.

Tryed many different stayings/hostels/hotels... This one Anglais was one of the ones i returned to and probely will do so in the future... Better than VR is reality...this is reality...🙂👍 Cheers mates👋

The Scandic Portalen is located in the vicinity of the big lake in Jonkoping. Nice walkes in the enviroment are possible and recommended. Breakfast is good as always in the known Scandic Hotels. Lake is beautiful.

Very nice staff, helpful and kind. Center hotell close to everyting, Parking at hotell is so good. We only stayd one night but we will come back. I can rekommend the hotell to my friends. The only thing not so good was the hotelroom was by the street antd a lot of noice late at night.

Les chambres sont un peu vieillottes mais l'hôtel est calme, les lits confortables et le petit déjeuner est excellent. Très bon rapport qualité prix. Un peu de rénovation ne ferait pas de mal mais cela reste un hôtel confortable quand même.

Everthing good exept for the room standard. Very old, and seams like not renovated since 1970...The feeling was not hygenic

It is in central Joenkoeng nesr the station. The breakfast bar is fantastic fresh and varied. The parking carage is very tight.

Run-down and poorly maintained hotel with old, worn-out furniture and outdated equipment in rooms. Parking options are not super user-friendly. No iron provided in the room. The facility does not live up to standards typically seen at other Scandic hotels.
