You can sit and rock on the porch over looking a beautiful pond and feed our pet fish ( no fishing) or enjoy the Hot Tub. ATV riders can access the Trails to Doe Mountain Recreation Center right from our house (trail 22 or 4) which has over 60 miles of trails to enjoy! This house is a cool older cabin that has some updates but maintains a nostalgic feel. It has a large screened porch, firepit, wood burning fire place and includes access to the community dock. The house is 3 bedrooms, but has a large loft with a queen bed and 4 twin beds. Lots of beds, can sleeps 10 or more.It is a (relatively) short walk down to the lake and community dock. Nestled in the heart of nature, this cabin offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. "Big Bear" cabin provides a peaceful and serene environment where you can relax and unwind. You can spend your days hiking, fishing, or exploring the nearby towns and attractions, and then come back to the cozy cabin to unwind and stargaze from the deck.You will be warmly greeted by the property known as "Great Bear", this land has been stewarded by people that poured their love and passion into it's creation and is being continued by the current stewards. The land has a cozy vibe that allows everyone to feel at home. As you enjoy the view from either deck you will see why people fall in love with this special place. Once inside," Big bear" invites you to relax in the spacious great room with leather furniture and a gas fireplace. The kitchen will have everything you need to whip up a dinner for 4. The two bedrooms each host a king size bed, or can be configured as two extra long twin beds with Tempur-pedic mattresses and 1000 thread count Egyptian cotton sheets on all the beds assure a restful nights sleep.You will have access to the main floor of the cabin, two bedrooms, one bathroom, spacious living room, lovely dinning room, kitchen, upstairs loft sitting/work area, front and back decks. There is a master suite that is unavailable as well as the utility room and garage.There is a second cabin on property that you can almost see from the back deck. Sometimes we will be on property and sometimes not. We are always a phone call away to help in any way we can. As the owners, we consider "Big bear" extremely comfortable and relaxing. We have kept it simple and spacious to keep the focus on the breath-taking views.Johnson County, Tennessee is nestled in the rolling mountains and valleys of northeast Tennessee. Less than 6 miles away you can enjoy Doe Mountain Recreation Area. This park features over 8600 acres, that can be explored by ATV, UTV, horseback, mountain bike, or hiking on foot. There are 60 miles of some of the best ATV trails in the region. You can rent ATV and UTV at Doe Mountain Outpost. Watauga Lake is less than 10 miles away, enjoy boating, water skiing, fishing, hiking and kayaking on one of the cleanest lakes in the country. Hill Top Hideaway is a stunning 4,500-square-foot lakefront home located on Watauga Lake in Butler, Tennessee. The property offers plenty of space and amenities for a relaxing getaway.This beautiful home features three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, two fully stocked kitchens (complete with pots, pans, and essentials), a finished basement, and a garage.Upstairs, you’ll find two queen bedrooms that share a bathroom, and a master bedroom with a king bed, jetted tub, and shower. All linens and towels are provided for your convenience.In the basement, there are full-size bunk beds and an additional king bed—please note that there is no bathroom in the basement.Enjoy the large front porch on the main level and make use of both a charcoal grill and gas grill during your stay. The property is lakefront, but please note: the house sits on a hill, and the dock and fire pit are located across a small, unmarked road.Guests have access to 2 kayaks, 1 canoe, and a paddleboard. Our Creekside Hideaway provides a peaceful place to get away from it all while still being close to everything. Guests will have access to 4 bedrooms/ 2 bathrooms and 2 Kitchens. We can also accommodate larger groups by adding on our mother in law suite, which provides 2 additional bedrooms/ 1 bathroom and a kitchen. Nightly price is based on 4 guests. Each additional guest will be $25 per guest per night. The pricing is set up this way to accommodate a variety of family/ group sizes.
