L’hôtel Bannister est idéalement situé dans le quartier de Braamfontein. Il se trouve juste en face de l’arrêt du City Sightseeing bus (le bus touristique hop on hop off qui fait le tour de la ville). Toute l’équipe de réception est souriante, professionnelle et toujours à votre écoute. Un remerciement particulier à Monde pour sa gentillesse et sa bonne humeur. Ma chambre était spacieuse avec un lit très confortable, une salle de bains avec douche italienne. Le petit déjeuner compris est copieux. Prévoir 1,50€ en supplément pour une boisson chaude. Seul bémol : les vendredi, samedi et dimanche soir, le bar-restaurant accueille un DJ donc c’est très bruyant. Si vous avez le sommeil léger, prévoyez des boules Quiès ! Le dimanche soir, la musique s’arrête à 21h30.

The reception and the staff are wonderful. The breakfast is also great considering that it is part of the accomodation costs. This is a no frills hotel in the middle of a very vibrant part of the city. The noise levels are high during the night due to the surrounding area. Very close to the hop on hop off bus stop. If you are a tourist, you could consider this. I loved my stay at the Bannister.

I stayed in a hotel for 10 days. During my stay, there was a wifi cut-off which happened without prior notification to clients. This caused a lot of inconveniences as I booked the hotel to attend classes at Wits University, therefore, I was depending entirely on the wifi to do my schoolwork. This means that on the two days, I failed to do my school work properly.

The rooms are very small and they are not value for money, there were cockroaches running around at night, the room has no air conditioning so it was very hot, the shower curtains are short so after bathing water was running from the bathroom to the room. The place is noisy and overall experience was terrible.

Overall good staff, friendly and helpful. Being a weekend stay, we could not sleep well due to the local weekend celebration. Would request for electric kettle in the room for preparation of tea or coffee.

Small room with the beds very high. I cancelled my stay but i was not refunded. I even asked for 1/2 the amount and the said no. The reason being they have to pay ***********. There was no jug in the room, but they did bring one. I did not really feel safe and my mum being a pensioner could not even climb on the bed it was so high.

Perfect reception indeed, respect and privacy for guests, and room service excellent. Though deep in city center and has a nightclub, the hotel security is best. This includes car safety with a basement packing which is on CCTV surveillance and a locked gate

Many thanks for the excellent service and follow-up. I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. You have excellent staff and an excellent online service. It was very easy for me to get in touch and get booked. The meals are affordable and well done. There is urgent need to refurbish the rooms, particularly G3. The door locking system, the floors in the room and bathrooms, the furniture all need to be urgently replaced. I experienced moderate discomfort. Otherwise, everything is good.

Nice boutique hotel with a great bar and restaurant. Food was fantastic particularly the African cuisine, you don’t need to eat anywhere else. Friendly and esrm staff. Location wasn’t that great, did not feel safe going out at night and was asked to donate money by the guard working at the hotel after asking for directions.
