I tried to contact reception at Yuki Inn prior to our visit in regards to an early check in and had no response. We arrived early simply to ask if we could check in early and there was no way to get in. Eventually somebody let us in & waved us to some seating, then disappeared. As we also had not received any instructions on how to get in to the building we waited & someone (I think the manager) arrived after about an hour & asked if we needed anything. While waiting we noticed the bar & restaurant were closed for the season (at least), the communal room was messy, dirty and cold. When we were shown our room we found it was tiny, really tiny. No room for a suitcase on the floor, no chairs, tiny ensuite & we could not get the heater to work. And most definitely overpriced. At this stage we contacted the booking agent to say we were not happy, the (I think) manager came in shortly after while on the phone to the agent & was quite abrupt, he did get the heater working but I still don’t know how. He offered us nothing & became argumentative when we relayed our experience so far upon which we asked for a refund, handed him the room keys & said we were leaving. He was on the phone to the booking agency for the entire time. He did say he would talk to the owner and promised to contact me in regard to whether or not we would be able together a refund We have had no contact. It has been 10 days

My partner and I booked here for 4 nights for skiing at Perisher. We only stayed 3 nights due to high winds on the slopes. I was glad to leave though as our stay at this lodge was depressing with cluttered common dining area and rubbish stacked up directly outside our window. There is a tea room where there is a food serving area that was filled with open packets and boxes of food and tables that were not cleared for 3 days of old leftover food. YES, 3 DAYS! No one around at all and I had to find a storage room and get my own toilet paper when we ran out when only provided 1/2 roll for 4 nights. Instructions in room advise there is no room service (so we left personal belongings out during the day) but someone came into room on day 2 and left fresh towels and emptied bins. Strange when this is not made clear on info sheet. The owner or manager needs to provide cleaners and get rid of the garbage. Disgraceful. At $A325 a night it’s by far the worse place I’ve ever stayed.
