Since there isn't a choice of 3.5....this hotel falls in the 3 group. You cannot beat the location for ease of going to the beach or town. Close to the train station(I would highly recommend this option, as driving there can be a very, very long trip)is a bonus. The downside is the beach, although beautiful, is pitched at strong angle and makes walking long distances exhausting and difficult. I would not recommend the half board pension....the food offered for dinner is fair at best and breakfast buffet was disappointing, understaffed and often food choices(eggs and such) are not replenished regularly. They will charge you for fresh squeezed orange juice and the juice machine is a problem for just about everyone to use(overfilling glass)...plus it never tasted like Orange juice. As there are a number of very good restaurants nearby I would recommend this and aside from breakfast(merely for convenience) we went out for meals. The Spa/Pool area needs attention. Only one(the smallest) of the Hot Tubs was functioning and the Sauna area was constantly blocked. So, if you wanted to go to the Sauna from the pool you or vise versa, you had to walked completely around through the dressing areas and back. Not to mention that most of the Spa Pool features were not functioning. It was a big disappointment honestly. The room, we had a studio, was quite nice and updated with A/C. A tab bit on the small side, but fit our needs for three people. I understand making things sustainable, however the "all in one" shampoo, body and conditioner bottle on the wall from generic brand was a disappointment. If I am honest, the price point and the hotel don't match. Especially, when you are paying extra for silly things like parking, sun loungers and potable orange juice. I won't not recommend either. You are getting 3 star max hotel that needs some attention in many areas.
