橄欖枝飯店

Albergo situato in un posto splendido: le camere con balcone che hanno la vista sulla vallata godono della vista su Amman. La persona che ci ha accolto la sera quando siamo arrivati è stato gentilissima. Stessa cosa per la ragazza alla reception della mattina seguente. La struttura è situata in collina in un bellissimo luogo, ma non è organizzata nel preparare le cene se non ci sono gruppi numerosi presenti nella struttura. Questo inconveniente viene mitigato dalla gentilezza delle persone alla reception che organizzano un veloce delivery da consumarsi in camera. La colazione della mattina viene servita in uno stanzone al primo piano mentre esiste una bellissima terrazza che non viene utilizzata. Inoltre viene servita su tavoli non propriamente puliti e senza nessuna attenzione. Il cibo è buono, ma non c’è nessuna scelta possibile. Una bella struttura, ma senza la dovuta attenzione per la parte relativa al cibo. La struttura è in una posizione tranquilla fuori dalla confusione di Amman. Consigliata.

I was there with an organised tour and I understood it’s the only hotel if you want to be in Jerash in the morning instead of travelling from Amman. It’s on top of a hill, nice place but unreachable on foot. The main hotel was being restructured with cables around and two holes instead of the lifts…. They gave us rooms in a separate building on the hill, very basic with only one towel per person, no complimentary water (let alone tea or coffee). The heating was from a very noisy air conditioner. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was old and small, luckily the water was hot. There was no Wifi. We were the only guests. They prepared a buffet dinner that was average, and with very little to drink: water was given in small 200ml plastic cups!…. Otherwise there were some soda cans. Breakfast was very poor, consisting of the same dishes presented as starters the night before, no juice, no cereals, no yogurt, unappealing scrambled eggs.

I think the word adequate summarises this hotel apart, this is, from the breakfast which was very poor. To be fair, we arrived late afternoon/early evening in the pouring rain for one night. rooms were allocated and bitterly cold when we got in (it's a motel style hotel). Luckily the aircon/heater thing worked and it soon warmed up. The room itself was basic. It was difficult to get the shower to a point when it was not either boiling hot or freezing cold. I suppose the bonus was that there was a lot of hot water. No tea or coffee facilities. The next day it was raining still and we appeared to be the only group there. That may explain the breakfast which can only be described as barely adequate. On a warm summer's day we'd likely have a very different impression of the place. That is why I've given it 3* instead of 2*.

Everything you want will be available here, either it is mountainous greenery or peaceful location. This place is met all our expectations except one that it's swimming pool. Dislikes: It's swimming pool, it didn't had clean water and also there was no temperature control in it.
